The Citronella oil is steam distilled from the fresh leaves of Cymbopogon Citratus grass. It is a fast-growing plant, can reach up to 1,5m high. The plant is native to India but can be found in Southamerica and tropical Asia. The oil is a yellow to orange coloured with a strong fresh grass odour. The main component is Citral. Is it well known as a perfume ingredient for detergents, cosmetics, soaps and it is also employed as a flavour ingredient but it is also well employed in aromatherapy. Got this to repel spinders
Got this to repel spiders. I mixed several drops of it with water and dish soap and stayed all around my doors and windows outside and I must say I've not seen a spider since.

Smell
I’m sorry but the lemongrass bottle I recieved actually smells “off”Thought it was maybe my diffuser or my burners but no it’s the scent itself .It’s always been stored in the cupboard, never in sunlight .I won’t purchase again

I’m not keen on this scent, there is a distinct mustiness to the smell which I don’t find pleasant. Almost as though it has been stored for a long time. I’m not sure whether that is the way lemongrass is supposed to smell?

Not quite the smell of Lemongrass I'd expect
Nice packaging, I love that it comes with a little dripper pippet thingymajig rather than those annoying drip lids that are never consistent.But the scent smells more like Lemon Eucalyptus than Lemongrass which is nowhere near the same.
