General Motors 3800 V6 Engine: The Untold Story

Good History
Well written history of an excellent engine. I swapped a series II SC engine into an 88 Fiero. It is a shame Pontiac did not have the same vision as Buick. The Iron Duke 4 used in 84 Fieros suffered from sub par connecting rods. This makes me wonder why the quality control from Buick failed to reach Chevrolet. An excellent view of what teamwork can accomplish.

Great history of one of GM's best engines ever
Anyone who is an automotive fan knows that the Buick 3800 engines were some of the best made. This book does a great job at how GM's management, engineers, and hourly workers teamed up to make this great engine.

Now Everyone Knows the "Untold Story"!
This book was everything I expected and more. My husband, Melvin, was involved in 'The Untold Story' as he worked in the General Motors V6 Engine Plant until he retired in 2004. Mr. Taubitz and Ms. Vasilow captured the saga behind the people, the product, and the plant, and finished Melvin's, and the employees everyday story.
