These are definitely for bass heads and directly competing with beats. If that's what your looking for these are BETTER THAN BEATS. No detachable cable, no mic, but they are clear and boomy with bass. You can balance them with a good equalizer and tone down the bass and increase the detail. As is out of the box they have a nice warm soundstage and ampleven bass to satisfy the younger ear. If you like flatter sound and more detail you can use ADAPTIVE SOUND on Samsung Devices and tweak your equalizer and get some excellent results. They are STURDY with a nice noiseless cord and a big upgrade up from APPLE earbuds for sound. I've used them like all my earbuds with IPOD, Tablets, phones, amps, and PS4 with no decline in perfomance.
