Worked great and there was no need to wash the walls before painting. It's a cheap solution, that didn't damage the walls. One particular negative was that the steam wand produced a lot of steam and could condense thus essentially leak water down the wall or onto the floor. This caused the process often to be wet and a bit messy. However, it's was worth the effort and the little bit of a mess. The reservoir on the machine was sufficient doing a sizable section of walling. It did take about 10-15 minutes to warm the water in the machine in order to produce steam so be patient, that's normal. However, once the machine was up and running it then ran for 30+ minutes on one tank. Definitely made taking off wallpaper easier. Doesn’t take too long to heat up. Has an automatic safety shutoff when water gets low. There is a lot of water that drips as a result of the stream. I wish there was a way to access the main container better so that you can dry it out. The only option you have is to dump it out, leave the cap off, and let the remaining drops dry by evaporation.
