Lol....fifty bucks?!?
You can get these exact jackets at certain big box stores for less. Sometimes...MUCH less. At the end of the season they put them on clearance and they can be picked up for less than 10 bucks sometimes. I have four of them in different colors and they really can't be beat for the price. I also have a couple of the vests of the same style just without sleeves and love them as well, and can also picked up for a few bucks if you play it right. Saying that, and wearing these jackets all winter long walking the dogs in the wee hours of the winter mornings, I can tell you that they are warm beyond their weight, decent at breaking the wind, and beats the heck out of paying what they want for a Columbia, Mountain Hard Wear, Eddie Bauer, L.L.Bean, or just name any of the over priced makers of similar jackets that aren't any better than these. I wear a T-shirt and a thin hooded sweatshirt under it and that's it, and I never feel cold when returning home. I will say I think fifty bucks is a little much for these, as they don't have a bungee cord closure at the bottom to keep the wind out. But that's all they are lacking compared to the high priced versions other labels might have. The fit is good. No problems with the zippers, light and extremely comfortable, and they've held up well for four or five years of daily use. The 3XL fits me perfectly and I'm 6'6", 275 lbs. Nothing like walking out the door on a cold Winter morning in something so light and comfortable you barely even notice you have it on, and yet it still keeps you warm. I really wish they would come out with a hooded version of this jacket.

Below 60*
If you want warmth without sweating to death, below 60 degrees, this jacket is superior to names like Eddie Bauer and more. I have worn this with a Tshirt at 27* F and was perfectly comfortable.I don't know how low I can get this jacket before it fails yet. If it did get cold, just throw on a long sleeve underneath it and would probably go to single digit weather with zero problems.Better and safer than down. Slightly heavier than comparable down jackets but still very light weight. You can not beat this price over a $100 plus dollar jacket.
