Narrative driven detective thriller
Allison Brennan has constricted an entire world over many years with a huge cast of characters; now those characters are established she can concentrate on the narrative, which is detailed, intricate and involving. Pure joy for those who like a good strong plot and the joy of an unfolding mystery.

Cut and Run
Na minha opinião o livro tem uma narrativa muito complicado, perdendo assim o objetivo principal.Muitos personagens desnecessários complicando cada vez mais.Eu não recomendo.

Think Max Revere and not Lucy Kincaid
This book is 80% Max 20% Lucy. White collar crime is not something I read about often. I love new story lines but this got boring. Sorry my opinion only. It just took to much of the book. The writing was terrific as always. I missed all the Rogan characters that we have grown to love. Please don't get me wrong. I still couldn't put it down, but something was missing. Max and Ryan are great. This is definitely a Lucy Kincaid novel, however a Max Revere book.

Lucy and Max Join Forces Once Again in this Incredible Thriller
Once again Allison Brennan has delivered an incredible thriller with Cut and Run. I could not put it down. I loved every page. I love the relationship between Lucy and Sean and all the descriptions of locations in Texas. Cut and Run includes all the plot twists and turns, and the occasional bittersweet moment that I have come to expect and enjoy in Allison Brennan's wonderful stories. Cut and Run is the most recent story in the Lucy Kincaid series. Lucy Kincaid is an FBI agent in San Antonio, and Sean is her husband, who is a jack of all trades, from private investigator to security consultant. The story begins as bones are discovered during flooding in a neighboring community. The bones are identified as belonging to the Albright family who went missing three years ago, supposedly driving into Mexico, following the embezzlement of $3 million from one of Denise Albright's clients. Lucy and Nate are called in for assistance with the cold case. Maxine Revere, reporter and cold case investigator, is in the area researching the recent death of the daughter, Victoria Mills, of one of her late grandfather's friend. As Lucy and Nate investigate their cold case and looking for the bones or whereabouts of Ricky Albright who was nine years old when he disappeared, Sean and Max are investigating what happened to Victoria Mills, and why Stanley Grant, the confessed murderer, has recanted his confession. I love how Allison Brennan connected the seemingly unrelated cold case with the current case. That was truly a surprise. Cut and Run had me guessing as to who was the mastermind behind all the events and illegal activities throughout the story. I love how Allison Brennan always writes about strong women: Lucy, Maxine, all the other FBI agents and the local police officers. They are amazing women. Once again, Allison Brennan proves that she is a master storyteller and that is why I love her books. All her books are always a must read for me. My favorite part of Cut and Run are the surprises that occur at the end of the book for both Lucy and Max. I thoroughly enjoyed Cut and Run.
