I have been looking around for a while for a steam cleaner and a pressure washer (had considered the X5 mop but this is half the price and I think better quality). I think I may have found an ideal middle ground. The pressure this light, portable, little steam cleaner produces is impressive. It heats very quickly (around 2 or 3 minutes) and really cranks out scalding hot steam.First up, I managed to do our entire bathroom, including the floor, grouting on the tiles, the toilet basin, the sink, the bath and all chrome attachments to an impressive finish (for it's first attempt). Surfaces that you would previously think were clean, now really are, noticeably squeaky clean, using just one tankful of water.Also made a good effort of a first run on a very dirty oven door, not perfect yet but another go should have it back to as new. Finally a quick test area of the patio paving slabs with the high pressure nozel and I think it may save me a fortune on a patio cleaner, not 100% ideal as it will take a long time to do, but or small areas it handles it very well.A couple of the brush attachments won't last very long, I don't think, as it has already warped the bristles, maybe including a soft metal brush would be good in future.The instructions are average to good, maybe needing a little more description about how to correctly use the cloth provided as the window squeegee attachment seemed to be less effective on my patio doors than some of the other attachments.All in all, an excellent product, very light-weight so ideal for carrying around the house.

Recently I've set up a automotive detailing company and I have been buying all sorts different products but one thing that I struggled to find for a reasonable price was a steamer as for such a basic product some companies where wanting amounts of money I couldn't justify paying.so I had a look on amazon and came across this ok price,looked fairly solid even tho it's hard to tell just from pics.This steamer is suppose to be used for cleaning inside the house but automotive detailers have realised its brilliant for detailing cars.i use this regularly to steam carpets using the biggest brush accessory which works brilliant,I also use the steamer on the engine bay which is fantastic as it removes the dirt and with a bit of degreaser any oil stains, but the good thing is it removes all the crap but obviously with it been steam it evaporates and leaves the engine practically bone dry which cuts down my drying time if I jet washed the engine bay.Since I use this on a lot rougher and dirtier places than its manufactured to be used for and it's held up great so far I've hammered it for a month and no sign of any problems.the only reason I didn't give it 5 star is because the water tank isn't that big don't get me wrong it will last a bloody long time if your doing house cleaning but when your detailing a car I usually have to fill it another 2 times which is a pain because you have to hold the trigger till all the pressure is released before you can even open the top which can take 5/10 minutes

Having used this several times, I'm still unsure of it, don't get me wrong, it does the job, but you will never get 45 minutes use out of it on a full tank, as stated ....... The attachments that come with it are pretty useless.I use the main hose and that's suitable for all jobs... this cleaned my bathroom well enough, though had to refill halfway through.

I don’t normally write reviews but have been so happy with this. I’ve had it about 3 months now. It holds a large amount of water so doesn’t keep running out of steam. I steam my stair carpet every week as it is pale grey and we have dogs. The carpet has stayed like new. There are several attachments so I can steam the whole house. It’s quick to steam the grouting in the floor tiles in the kitchen. I can use it for solid floor. I go around steaming everything I think there’s dirt. Toilet hinges (ugh), cracks and gaps which I can’t reach. Never had so much fun (i lead a sheltered life!!) it’s very lightweight and portable, easy to set up and store. Only fault might be the cord is quite short

Although I agree that it doesn't hold steam for a huge amount of time it doesn't take long to re pressurise. I had a Polti steamer which only lasted four years and the only advantage that I can see over this one is that you could adjust the steam pressure. At the price of the Earlex compared to the Polti I could afford to buy a new Earlex every 15 months! It is a great little machine, size being another huge plus point, and does everything I need it too. I have cleaned the mattresses and some stains off chairs. To those that say it doesn't remove stains, it does take a bit of time but if you steam the stain then put a wad of towel on one side and steam almost horizontally towards the towel, then wipe, the stain should come out (this is the same method as I used for the Polti). I would highly recommend this product, for it's price it is tremendous value. Not only good for stains, mattresses and those horrible mites that live in them, but if you have pets it is great for sterilising bedding, beds and anywhere they lie (also killing off any fleas that may be lurking- but do not use it on the pet itself for obvious reasons)
