This saw is an excellent CHOICE for anyone looking for a reliable and powerful CORDLESS reciprocating saw. It's got plenty of power behind it - i can easily cut through some thick branches with ease (like those pesky ones that just won't fit in the compost without being chopped up). The variable speed trigger lets you control the cutting speed, which is great for different types of material and tasks. One thing I really like about this saw is how compact it is. It's easy to hold and maneuver around branches or whatever else you need to cut (i once used it to cut through a metal pole too - worked like a charm). The tool-less blade change system is also a nice touch, making it quick and easy to swap out blades when needed. Overall, I'm very happy with this saw and would recommend it to anyone looking for a high-quality cordless reciprocating saw (plus it matches my other Makita tools, so that's always a bonus).

It’s a beast! Powerful, Durable, Versatile, easy to use. I’ve had several saws, but this one, beats all. I am a DIYer, not using it commercially, but I’m sure you could. You can move around freely, and cut darn near anything. Easy to use, blade changes, grip, balance. Comes in a great case. This is truly an all around saw. I don’t think you could do better.
