Over The Moon (Mageverse series)

Very Impressive stories. Although I bought this book because it had a story by Mary Janice Davidson in it, it has introduced me to Angela Knight as well so a very good buy indeed. I love all the stories in this book, some more than others but still highly recommended for the genre

Both stories are fast and fun, and you find yourself rooting for the good guys and falling in love with the "Hero", and cheering for the heroins, who both happen to be "real" women trying to save themselves rather than waiting for the hero."Between the Moon and the Mountain" was a bit slow. I didn't know why the troubled hero fell so in love with "Caitlin" and the love scene left alot to be desired. Still, a nice quick romance."Mona Lisa Three" by "Sunny" was just another Laurel K Hamilton sex story. If this wasn't written by her, (Laurel K), "Sunny" should find a better Author to immitate! This could have been Anita or Meredith, and was s about as erotic, sexy and romantic as a dead dog.It was worth buying for Angela Knight and Mary Janice Davidson who never fail to deliver.

It is set in the Mageverse series but concerns the Chosen (that sounds like a fundamentalist religion, they certainly treat their women badly), but they are descended from the original Direkind created directly by Merlin (to act as a check on Madgekind he created to be guardians of Earth Humans).Direkind are magic immune shape shifters who change into 7+ foot tall wolfmen, wolves, and any kind of dog.Elena's father is dieing and as he is the last descendant of Wolfgar he wants to force Elena into a marriage with Stephen (Stephen wolf--bad pun) who is an abusive jerk. She decides to ask Lucas a policeman and Direkind in a not so distant town to be her champion after Stephen attempts to rape her. The Chosen get by with being abusive as they pretty much keep to themselves and the rest of Direkind leve them alone (most of Direkind were created by being bitten).Nice character development, good plot, well written erotic scenes and a little humor.Definitely a good read!Between the Mountain and the Moon is a notably better than average story in the erotic romance genre and in a sub genre which I am not going to name because it blows the plot. Cait and Josh are hiking the Application trail after two friends have to bail because one was injured. Things get started when they meet up with some odd travelers Rhys (very handsome) Ursus, and Goodfellow. Good story if rather traditional but well told with a good seduction scene. 3 ½ starsDriftwood Burke ( a weirwolf) meets Serena (a vampire) and after abandoning her in a hole (weirwolfs are claustrophobic) he feels drawn to her and to help her. Good characters good humor and a nice if simple plot well told with a nice erotic scene. 4 stars.Mona Lisa Three is a complex story about the Monère a people who migrated to Earth from the Moon 6 million years ago. Mona is a title denoting Queen. This is an interesting short with a complex concept and a lot of characters with limited development Lisa gets a pretty good treatment. A brief erotic scene as she uses sex to heal a la Anita Blake and LKH. A unique concept and well told story. 4 Stars.Overall I would rate Over the Moon as 4 stars a good read.
