A great fixed blade for around $20
Lemme tell you what this is a 5 star knife for 20 bucks. Came sharp outta the box, and feels good in the hand. Thick steel and full tang should be very durable. I’ve chopped down a bunch of pepper trees, and chopped back a bunch of palm fronds with this knife no problem. It batons well too. I use it to baton hardwood for my bbq grill. Ive buggered the edge several times hitting it on concrete while doing this , and it touches up pretty easily. Sometimes I’ll walk my dog wearing this, because why not? Wouldn’t hesitate to take it camping, I already know from using it around my property that it would be an excellent camp knife. A good knife doesn’t need to be expensive, as evidenced here. Hasn’t shown any sign of rust, and overall just a great knife for the price. The only complaint I have is the upper leather keeper is kinda loose so I just leave it undone. No matter what knives you have, do yourself a favor and practice sharpening them

Incredible value for a large, full tang knife.
I found this knife to be a very good value. The blade is strong and sharp. The knife is a full tang design (the blade is made from a solid piece of metal that extends all the way to the end of the handle, increasing strength), which is surprising given the cost. The pear wood grips are a nice touch. The sheath is fine, if a little stiffer than I'd like. All in all this is an excellent fixed blade knife at a shockingly low price.

Amazing knife for the price.
This is a STURDY knife. I did some basic tree-trimming with it and it felt great. The blade is amazing. I was dorking around with some of the tree limbs in my burn barrel and accidentally hit the rim of the steel burn barrel with the knife's edge. I was mortified I just destroyed my brand new knife, but it didn't leave a mark at all on the blade! The poor barrel did not fare as well and now has a small gouge on the rim, lol. I didn't get a picture of the burn barrel, but I will try to remember when I get out there again.

Sheathing flimsy
The knife is in the (Bowie class), it's full tang with a wood handle (with ergonomic finger grooves) and a brass hand guard. The metal used is stainless steel; but one complaint/disapproval the sheathing is flimsy and lousy. My other full tang knives have thicker sheathings with double stitching for durability, this sheathing needs great improvement (reengineering).Suggestion to Mossy Oak; a resolution to this issue would be switching over to a 1-3/16" top and bottom layer (this is adequate for this specific knife considering weight and constant use), use double stitching (increasing durability during use) and reinforce the wear areas (increases durability to reduce wear and tear on most worn areas) on the top portion where knife is sheathed and bottom.Hopefully Mossy Oak takes this feedback and redesigns the crappy sheathing, but the blade is great (nothing of the knife its self to complain about.) I cannot make this solution any easier for them; as I provided the appropriate solution to resolve this issue.

Almost a full Pound of great knife
GREAT value for the money, sturdy, sharp, and beautiful on arrival. The sewn leather sheath, too, is a beauty, and fit for the job.The brass handle guard and brass handle ends and attachment pins are nice accents and completely very purposefully functional. Some measurements: Blade 8.50 inch long; Knife 13.75 inch long overall. Blade 1.75 inch wide.Brass handle guard 2.25 inch wide. Knife weight 14.30 ounces (405.6 grams). Knife with Sheath weight 17.31 ounces (491.0 grams). Blade, at thickest, 0.150 inch.I agree that the knife handle is a bit thin and light at its taper ends, but if a person likes, he/she can drill out or punch out the two brass pins and fashion new handle scales to attach to the blade, a nice afternoon project, perhaps. Instead I'll use the knife as it is for now, as I like it well enough as built.I'd say this knife overall is a bargain, and sure to be long-lasting in use. It's so good that I even think that if "Crocodile Dundee" (of the two movies) were to see it and heft it, he'd say, "now, THAT'S a KNIFE!" --Joe / Tucson ARIZONA

Mostly oak 14-in blade survival knife:
Find quality in durability. Makes a great outdoor camping knife. Or even if you go fishing. More likely a great defensive tool. Rest resistance I don't not sure it really depends on how you take care of the knife sharpening been it in a cool dry place and oiling it up. And of course putting it away when not in use. Makes a great ranch hand knife to to be on the ranch. As a customer I would definitely say five stars. It's full tangFrom blade to handle. That is really good durability

Exceeded expectations.
Quality material and appearance. Functions as expected with obvious durability of blade, handle, and leather sheath. Fit of all assembled parts is tight and clean. Sharp, but edge retention is too soon to say. All indicators this is a top quality product.
