La Vie Est Belle: Learning to live hopefully ever after

I'll tell you this. I'm shook after reading this.•I can't love Vie enough to document her own life story. (This is like a memoir of sorts)•The way Vie goes through all that only to come out as a bright, postive and elegant person is just amazing.•This book has so much potential, it's a crime that none of ya'll have read it already.• A part of me wants to give the MC a big hug and safekeep her FOREVER.•Had me weeping in the middle of the night like.....why??•Emotionally wrecking read but I'm all about it.•An unique format that keeps you engaged the whole duration.•Girl power!!!! I loved how Vie, even after going through all that still took charge of her fate, breaking the cycle of shame and trauma.•Detailed mention of abuse so watch out for the triggers.•I NEED TO GET A PAPERBACK COPY OF IT SOON

There are some books that we like, but once finished they are forgotten.There are some books that we love, and we will remember them fondly.There are some books that we adore, and they will live in us forever.La Vie Est Belle will live in me forever.What an amazing book.It’s not an easy book to read, especially part one. There were moments when my heart broke for little Vie, I wanted to go back in time and be able to do what the adults around her should have done, I wanted to scoop her up in my arms and take her to a place of safety and let her be a child.Yet, it is written in such a way that helps you, the reader, feel safe and hopeful. Each chapter in part one ends with a personal message about looking after yourself and suggestions of how to do that. I felt the author cared about me as a reader.Part two continues Vie’s story and is also filled with inspiration and ideas of things to do, for yourself, to be more confident, kind and compassionate to you! I’m already putting some of them into practice and am feeling the benefit already.There honestly aren’t enough words to truly share the impact this book has had on me. I can’t thank Vie enough for sharing her story. I urge you to read this book and let it live in you forever.
