I was definitely impressed!
I bought this for my elderly mom so she could easily shred cabbage. I wanted to try it out for myself before gifting it to her and I was impressed at how well it shredded. It's very lightweight and has a very comfortable grip. I have a stainless steel shredder that was gifted to me but this Shimomura brand seems to do an even better job. Only used it once so am not sure how long it'll stay sharp.

Love how it juliennes the cabbage.
It does a fantastic job, but as with any hand held peeler, it doesn't work well when the cabbage gets small, then you need to use your chopping knife or food processor. I've only done one cabbage, and I liked it very well. I hope it stays sharp!

Japan made, all you need to know. Quality, no china crap.
No any coins. Hands down is the best one peeler i ever had. Japan made says it all.

Works like a charm
The size is great for cabbage but it is also so sharp and positioned for maximum efficiency. I must have purchased 30 or more of similar utensils in as many years… this is the BEST!
