This solved my problem
Needed a splitter to be able to connect earphones and sound system to same optical connection on TV. Hubby has hearing problems but we still need to be able to use the soundbar. I am able to watch the TV in kitchen while working and he can watch big screen without driving me crazy. The first one worked so well I bought another one for bedroom TV

Technical issue not the fault of this splitter
Wanted to split the signal between my new Samsung soundbar and my "TV ears". But when the Samsung TV detects the soundbar, the TV audio output changes to something the TV Ears can't use. First, I sent the splitter back for credit, thinking it was bad. Figured it out when the replacement wouldn't work either. I'm just going to keep splitter #2 for future use.

Ottimo prodotto. Il mio amplificatore ha un solo ingresso ottico e con questo dispositivo riesco a collegare sia TV che streamer audio. Funziona con un solo dispositivo attivo alla volta ma per me non è un problema e credo non lo sia per la maggior parte degli utenti. Nessun disturbo o calo di qualità nel segnale.
