Vital Grace is a book filled with life-changing truths. Although I have been a believer in Jesus since I was a little girl, it wasn't until I sat under Dr. Tom Wood's teaching for many years that I truly understood God's gift of all for nothing. Every sermon we heard flowed through the grid of God's grace. This book takes all of those years of training and puts them in a gospel-focused and thought-provoking message that applies to everyday life. I was first introduced to Tom Wood's "Gospel in 3D" (despair, delight, and direction) framework at a training he was leading. Over the years I have come back to those ideas again and again to help me preach, teach, and counsel others. I am excited to see this framework is now accessible to more people through his book Vital Grace.

Learned a lot from this book. It's like a series of really rich sermons - full of helpful, biblical explanations, illustrations and important teaching about God's vital grace. It made me look at Abraham differently. The section of our former life and gospel 3D Is so good. Very applicable. Highly recommend.

As a pastor, I have read plenty of books, watched plenty of teaching videos and listened to many sermons that never address our core need: the grace of the Gospel through Jesus Christ. And so, it is refreshing to pick up Vital Grace by Tom Wood, knowing the book wouldn't exist without that as its central message. The grace of the Christian faith makes our faith unique and different from "religion" and that is what is so good about a book like this. Tom has done a great job of keeping the core message of grace clear and front and center for the reader!
