First Book of Saints: Their Life-Story and Example

Purchased for a gift for a 2nd grader as she starts her journey to her First Communion. I looked thru the book and felt it was written for that age group. I am happy with my purchase.

Gift for my Godson Luke. Nice book just wish it had more Saints in it. Luke was left out.

I got this book for my sons to learn about the saints during Lent. Overall it seems like a great book with child-friendly stories, but I was shocked that when describing one of the saints who was a missionary to the Native Americans, they were described as "savage redskins." Not the ones who violently attacked this saint -- ALL of the Natives that he ministered to were described thus. My mother is Native American, so how can I teach my children about the saints with a book that speaks so inappropriately about their grandmother's people? This type of language is not suitable for the 21st century.
