Right product on time.

Received the 1st bottle with the lid partially open. Contents were dried enough to be useless. Replacement sent immediately and arrived next day. This time the product was as it should be. Excellent service .. flux works as it should

Good item, used it in pass

Pros: The flux bottle was small, but a nice size for what I need. This flux worked perfectly for silver annealing. A quick dip in a hot vinegar based pickle afterwards and the silver only needed minor buffing. The flux prevented fire scale on an intricately patterned piece of sterling. Polished beautifully without a lot of work. Cons: I opened the box to find a used, half empty container of flux. There was a dark brush or human hair under cap, sticking out. Dried flux crust all around outer cap rim and jar shoulder. I returned it. Replacement arrived fast, but this one had leaked inside shipping box.

I ordered Handy Flux from this seller twice. The first time it wasn’t delivered as it leaked in the delivery truck and was refunded. The second time it arrived but the contents were dried out and unusable in the delivered state. I’ll take the time to reconstitute it, but it’s a bit of a pain. I’ve used Handy Flux for decades in jewelry soldering and they’ve always sold a consistently good product. It isn’t a product issue so much as the seller. A sealed plastic tub shouldn’t dry out like this or leak in a delivery truck. In checking the other user reviews, I’d suspect the seller may be mixing and packing their own flux, while not sealing the tubs properly.

Works exactly as intended. Good for extra easy, easy, and medium solders on sterling silver. The only trouble I had was that the Flux would often burn off if I applied too much heat and was using hard solder. Easy to fix, uneven solder can be filed off but you may need another type of Flux to use hard solder. Otherwise it's perfect. Just make sure you shake the bottle really well with each use. The brush makes it easy to put Flux on tiny pieces without getting it everywhere.

My wife's new ring broke during our 50th anniversary dinner. My original Handy Flux circa 1972 could not be revived. This bottle arrived a day or so later and we are ready to celebrate our next 50 years.

Sadly this arrived dried up. I was about to return it until I queried the A.I. and discovered this happens often for this product. The A.I. suggested that I could reconstitute with water. I gradually added two and one half teaspoons of water stirring vigorously with a chopstick until the consistency appeared right. It's still a little clumpy but I hope it emulsifies better with time. I like the inclusion of the brush on the cap which eliminates additional brushes and clean up.

Don’t bother - as another review said, the paste is solid. Brush is stuck in solid paste, not attached to the lid.

It dries out fast keep the lid on tight
