Exceptional reading
This is a very good book that every pastor and church should read if they wish to save and reclaim our millennials and Gen Zers at a time when both generations are on the verge of leaving the church. I am amazed that this book was written by a millennial. I was impressed with the historical background of each generation, the culture and life experiences that had shaped the generations, including the data to back it all up. Thank you Bro. Hall!

Speaking in tongues - Across Generations
"Speaking Across Generations (SAG)" practically illustrates invaluable spiritual principles for leaders, managers, and speakers, regardless of profession. Moreover, these principles can be used immediately in the Church and across Corporate America. Nevertheless, this is my second review on Amazon, so my words tend to be a bit exclusive. Anyway, this book has profoundly changed how I look at leadership, specifically when sharing the Gospel across generations. If you read SAGs, you'll appreciate how easy & quickly you can read this book. I read the book on a recent trip (the book is a fast read). I laughed as the author (Darrell E. Hall) described the importance of "Knowing Your Audience" and "Compounded Preparation. I wish I had read this book many years ago, when I first became a father, corporate leader, manager, and orator, as it would have changed how I operated and communicated completely. Of course, hindsight is always 20/20, but the lessons I've learned in my own career relate almost perfectly to the book's author. If you are a preacher, teacher, parent, or simply a manager of people, and you want those you lead to grow in their faith and profession, I highly recommend reading this book. I thought so much of it that I plan to buy a copy for a business associate. I feel like this book was written for me--I'm the main character. So please read the book; it will also change your life, primarily how you communicate across generations.

Great read for times of change and transition…
I read this book while on an extended time of sabbath vacation. I highly recommend it for pastors, associate ministers, pastoral staff and ministry leaders. The author gives great insight into the thoughts and feelings of current generations in the church. Good for improving preaching, leadership and ministryacross generations.👍🏾

Necessary Resource For All Communicators
For the last decade I have had the privilege to, at times up close and others from a distance, watch Dr. Hall employ the very strategies within this book. He is known as one of the greatest orators of our day and is sought after to communicate to various audiences around the country and even the world. Out of all the books on Excellent Communication strategies why should you add this to your library? Dr. Hall has taken a Master Class on Speaking Across Generations and has packaged it for us all to glean from this treasured works for years to come.

Effective communication between generations.
This book is a must read for people who care about bridging communication gaps between generations. This book has helped me unravel my own unconscious biases when communicating to both older folks n younger gen zers.I’m not a preacher, but I think church leaders have a lot they could learn from this book on delivering effective messages to their congregations.

A Must-Have Communication Tool
Speaking Across Generations: Messages That Satisfy Boomers, Xers, Millennials, Gen Z, and Beyond by Darrell E. Hall was the book I needed at this time in my career and personal parenting journey. First, as a professional that works with a vast array of generations, but mostly millennials, it is important for me to understand how to communicate with them in a way that not only adds value to the project but also ensures the value that they bring through their voice and contributions is realized. Second, this book helped me to understand as a parent, why there is such a disconnect between myself and my children that are millennial and/or Generation Z and how I do not necessarily need to agree with how they come to their decisions, I do need to understand – because guess what? My Gen Z logic will not change them. Another add for me was how to relate to my Boomer parents and help them with the disconnect they experience with their Millennial and Gen X grandchildren, to whom I say, “You need to read this book!”. For me, there were several “a-ha” moments that made me stop, shake my head, and wonder if Hall was writing this book just for me.Darrell E. Hall is a preacher and pastor, so he comes from that lens when writing this book. It is evident that this book is helpful to the spiritual community as we try to figure out what certain people groups need to stay engaged and connected to their spirituality and from their places of worship. However, not being a preacher or pastor, I saw this book as a communication tool for anyone that needs to know how to win the people group that they are communicating with. By winning, they build the trust that is necessary to see the desired end goal, whatever that may be. Winning can also mean knowing what special gifts and mindsets will be added through the contributions only certain people groups can bring and ensure the future success of the project. This book is filled with data and research that supports the text and helps the reader see, in an illustrated form, how much the world is changing and help readers determine how they can adapt to be more inclusive.Speaking Across Generations will stay on my desk as I plan to continue to reference one of the points highlighted throughout the book (yes, I write in my books). I see it supporting me as I lead project teams, parent my adult children, and maintain relationships with family and community members of all generations.

Misleading content description- This is a "Preachers" perspective on how to speak to the flock
How to Preach in church. While the content explores inter-generational messaging, it primarily concerns itself with ministering the gospel.
