We recently remodeled and selected Linden series by Delta to upgrade all the plumbing fixtures. We're pleased with Delta so far. They're very solid plumbing fixtures, the parts move very smoothly and it's easy to keep clean. Delta seems to have a solid warranty too, which was a factor in our decision. Since the fixtures have only been in place since January....no issues to report.

First and foremost, this set does require you to sweat (solder) pipe. If you've never done this, you might want to seek help from someone who knows what they're doing. Secondly, this set is not designed to be assembled prior to being set into place. The two valves are designed to be pushed UPWARD through the holes in your workspace, while the output pipe is designed to be set DOWNWARD into your workspace. This means that you can (and should) sweat the Tee into the flex pipes on your workbench (after determining fit and placement, of course), but only attach the two valves to it. You'll have to sweat the output pipe into the Tee while the unit is in place (which can be neck-breaking work, depending on the space). My installation wouldn't allow me to sweat the pipe after install (very little clearance below this tub), so I really needed a set that would install as a single unit. I fixed this by drilling the output hole (in my case, on the rim of the tub) just large enough for the output pipe to go UP through it, and then I used a 7/8" or 1" snap ring (can't remember which it was... I had a few on-hand already) to hold the output pipe in place. This way I was able to install the entire unit upward through the holes. Honestly, they should have designed this set to allow installation as a single unit... One final note; The instructions will tell you to set the valves to protrude from the workspace by 1 3/4". I used the Peerless Claymore 2-Handle widespread Roman tub faucet trim kit, chrome PTT298696 on mine, and while the parts all fit perfectly to the valve hardware, the handles were too high by about 1/4". So if you're going to install a trim kit like the one I used, set the valves at 1 1/2". The hardest part of my install was getting into that tiny space to reset the valve height to make those handles fit properly.

rough in is the key word, if you have never done any plumbing, you will need a plumber....if you are familiar with soldering copper, this provides for flexibility in the positioning of the faucets....
