An essential tool for readers
An ingenious tool, the FlipKlip ideally solves the issue that every reader of a physical book faces: How to keep the damn book open to the page you’re on and—most important of all—keep the page in place. A gust of breeze or a fan’s burst of air or a blowing A/C vent can knock a page over. Or, as I needed, a physical book not held in place is useless on a treadmill. The FlipKlip fixes these issues, with its snapping mechanism keeping the open pages firmly in place. I just used the FlipKlip on a 639-page book (Mircea Cartarescu’s amazing novel, SOLENOID) with no problem. Some readers might object to how tight the FlipKlip holds down pages, how (in order to turn a page) you have to pull the right-side page down off the right clip and then lift the left clip to finish turning the page. I found this action was just a matter of adjusting to a new way of turning pages: It made the act somehow more deliberate, more of a ritual. It even made you more aware that you were turning a page and making progress, making you more conscious that you were in the ACT of reading. FlipKlip makes reading easier on one hand, but also more physical on the other. A genius invention.

The Flipclip is Great for Readers
The FlipClip is a remarkable device, light-weight, perfect holding books open and leaving hands free. Easy to turn pages by raising one or the other of the front clips. It's particularly useful for someone like me, who consults multiple books at once. I initially bought 3 Flipclips and gave one to my husband. Then I bought another package for myself and also as gifts for other book lovers. It should also work with magazines to leave hands free for those working on the treadmill, elliptical machine, etc. Such a simple device, light enough to take on your travels. Highly recommended!

Small Device Helps to Read Books
This 3-pack is for 3 books so I let my wife borrow one. She doesn't let "borrow" stop her from making it her own device. It's a bit hard on my arthritic fingers, but it certainly helps me hold the book when reading in bed. I think if it was a bit larger it might work better for thicker books, but that would have to be determined. As a gift it fits well into any reader's holiday sock and provide hours of page-organized reading. The center section holds a spring which helps 4 arms stay in position, which works well. The longer arms hold the back firmly and the shorter arms hold the pages down.

Works as Designed. I find it useful
I think design of the perfect book page holder is a challenge. This product may come as close as possible to that objective. Efficient page turning does take a bit of practice. But, overall, I like the device.

Handy for the treadmill or elliptical reader
I was initially skeptical of this product, largely because the packaging makes it look like it was manufactured in and dug out of a time capsule from 1976, but it’s turned out to be just the thing for reading on the treadmill or elliptical. It fits a wide range of books, from bulky hardbacks to thinner paperbacks and keeps the book opened wide enough. Pretty neat little gadget, definitely worth the $18 or so price for anyone who needs to keep a book open without holding it the entire time.

OK but sort of too much to deal with
It does indeed hold the books open for you. BUT the problem is that you read 2 pages and then have to mess with the thing again. Turning the pages and tucking a new one under isn't super simple (it's a grippy thing) and can easily lead to bent pages. If you truly need hands free reading a tablet is the way to go unfortunately. I still like reading actual books printed on paper but this device hasn't really made that that much easier. I could see it being perfect for holding open a recipe book or something that needs to be referenced repeatedly.

Pick your color - place the order!
I wish I had known about this sooner. Most of my books are massive and I get tired of holding them open - the one for this review is well over 600 pages. I don’t like electronic readers, I like an actual book! This has been a game changer. In my video you will see the pages come out easy and upon turning the page, if you use two hands and gently place the page under the arm there is no damage. I only used one hand due to recording and was able to do so just fine with no damage. Two photos show the device holding the book open by just the pages and another by the panels. It holds well both ways; that says a lot due to how large the book is. I find the FlipKlip looks easy, because it truly is simplistic. It has arms that hold open when setting up, with a strong spring load that adjusts effortlessly and holds well. Super simple, and versatile. A great American made product worth the money.

Good product & fast delivery
It holds the book open very well but it slides off of the book holder. Works best with hardcover books.

As a book lover that hates having to put down her book to do other stuff, this. is. great! Really holds! Not amazing when you have to pass the page but for big books it also takes away the strain from keeping it open! Doesn't damage the book either!

The holder is robust, and sturdy enough to clip onto a book. Easy to lift arms to move the pages. Great accessory if reading in bed. Makes it easier to hold. as the holder takes the weight of the book
