So far, so good. I just hope that I don't have the problems some of the reviewers have mentioned.

It's actually not much good at lighting candles, a lighter with a flame is much better. As for BBQs, I've not even tried. However, it's brilliant at lighting gas. If you want to light a camping stove, or the auto ignite on your cooker isn't working, this is great! It's also safe to use, and is satisfyingly futuristic.

I love this, I use it nearly daily to light my candles it has saved me from a lot of burns from trying to light candles at the bottom of large jars

I thought it was great and perfect for my 11 year grandaughter to light the christmas t-lights.Wrong. I gave her a demo - she ran out of the room holding her ears.It must generate a high frequency noise.I still love it, but cant use when she's in the house.

My son electricuted himself with it just to see what it did, i have not laughed so hard in a long time!

I bought this to replace a long stem gas lighters that didn’t seam to last enough to even refill. Wonderful technology producing a plasma arc like a mini cattle prod, works well on gas appliances and ok on new candles but struggled relighting candles with short wicks.
