Amazing quality, comfort and performance
By far the best hiking boot I have ever worn. Take note and appreciate the angled “brake system” on the heel. Genius. Has saved me many times from sliding down loose soil and gravel.

Finally a boot that fits my low-volume foot!
Finally a boot that fits my low-volume foot! From the first time out on the trails, the boot fit like a glove (much like my worn out Montrail boots did that have been discontinued). No blisters, and better yet, no black toenails from my foot sliding forward when going down hill. I am able to get a snug fit with hiking socks and after-market insoles. I purchased a size 10, which is the same size as my street shoes. The toe area is roomy enough for me, although a wide foot may not have enough room. The lacing holds my heel in place and the tongue is padded enough that it is comfortable even when the laces are pulled tight around my ankle. I hike mainly on dirt trails with rocks and roots. I have not traveled through water yet. I highly recommend.

Best boots ever!
I have tried many hiking boots as we backpack and hike quite often. Most boots give me blisters at some point. I wore these boots on an Everest Base Camp trek and they were all stars. They are higher on the ankle but soft and supportive. Other reviews said they were stiff. I didn’t find them stiff just more supportive of the entire foot. I have a wide front foot, high arch and I step with a thin heal. These boots come wth several inserts to fit all foot types. I didn’t even have to spend money on insoles. My feet were warm, dry and comfortable. They weigh a bit more than m last boots but don’t feel heavy when you wear them. LOVED these boots!!!!

Boot construction is great
The construction of the boot is well done. The issue was toe box was to narrow. Great Boot if you have a regular/ medium size toe box.

Love the ankle and inner side foot support
Perfect! The inner side of my foot tends to weaken or give out after long hikes on mountains and can become painful. This boot provides the perfect support to prevent this. I love how firm it is on the side and it has some arch support.

Got these for my daughter
My daughter and I hammered out 60 miles in Yosemite. 14 miles the first day. Toughest uphill in the park the next day. We go hard, she's an amazing hiker and really likes these boots.
