Allergic to nickel? BUY. THIS. NOW.
I could cry from gratitude that this product exists. My legs have itched every single day for twenty years. I’ve clawed them and left scratches from my nails, rubbed them raw, and used exfoliate more than is healthy. I’ve talked to doctors about it who basically said, “Huh, weird,” and dismissed it as stress or an allergy to my laundry detergent or the lotions I slathered myself in to try and soothe it itch. I was prescribed anti-anxiety medications and some days the itch would be so bad I actually fantasized about nerve damage so I couldn’t feel it anymore.A couple of days ago I Googled something like “legs itch every day shave allergy” and an article on people with nickel allergies who shave body hair popped up. I’ve been horribly allergic to nickel since I was a baby and suddenly everything clicked. My skin was trying to tell my dumba$$ something and even medical practitioners couldn’t/wouldn’t listen. This is one of two brands that coat their blades with something people with nickel allergies can tolerate. I bought this thinking it couldn’t get worse and tried it. IMMEDIATE RELIEF. No angry skin, no constant itch. After all the anguish I’ve gone through, I finally found a savior.

Really Wish....
Really wish the razor companies would NOT use those lubricating strips on the razors. They always use ingredients that are questionable that I would prefer NOT exposing my skin to... and also I appreciate ceramic coated blades so that I am not poisoning my skin with heavy metals as I shave. I love that they are using recycled ocean plastic ! THAT IS A BIG HELP and A GOOD SERVICE for MARINE LIFE. For potential customers... this is a very decent razor. The blades are sharp, it is easy to grip, lightweight. Good purchase... apart from my above mentioned preference for NO lubricating strip. Hopefully, future improvements will be made ? Would I recommend this razor in general ? YES. It's better than the others on the market. ;-)

Great ecofriendly razor.
I love this razor. I love that I am helping clean up.the plastic in the ocean at the same time. This razor is well made and lasts awhile. It doesn't get all rusty either (the blades) either, so you don't have to replace them as much as you would other brands.

Hoping for Improvement
I wanted to like this razor. My ideal goal was to buy these for my dad to replace his razors, but I decided to test them out personally to make sure they are good.I'll start by saying the handle is easy to hold and doesn't feel cheap. I did end up dropping the razor accidentally, and it did not break or pop off the blade cartridge. It's a cute yet simple design much like a regular disposable women's razor. But, much like a disposable women's razor, it wasn't the best shaving experience. I had a hard time getting a close enough shave. There is no moisture strip, meaning the top of the cartridge was a bit rough and unpleasant going against the skin.To combat this, they included a small strip similar to a moisture strip infused with aloe vera. I remember briefly reading about the aloe part and not being concerned prior to the purchase, but the first hand experience was... off putting. There's no feeling quite like using a new razor on your leg first time and lifting the handle up to see how you did, only to find a thin trail of slime hanging down from the cartridge to your leg. Ew. I immediately realized it was aloe and continued onward, but it didn't get better. Aloe everywhere. I tried rinsing the blade, but the aloe just kept dripping off in fat plops. I also always dry my razors at the end of each use to prevent rusting, and it's safe to say that the moment the razor touched the towel, my towel had an one inch by three inch spot of slimy, shiny aloe stuck on it, which made drying my legs off a bit more challenging. In short, I LOVE the IDEA of this razor. I'm excited to see MORE recycled razors and razors that can be continuously recycled. As it stands though, I have been using the same razor handle for like 9 year now, and the only thing I have to throw away with that is the cartridge, which I get quite a bit of use out of prior to tossing them. Since my need to recycle really only encompasses the blades and the big point of the Popi razor is a recycled handle, not recycled blades, it's really not meeting my needs in any way. Having a lesser shave experience for some cartridges that can't really even be recycled is kinda of not worth it for me.Overall, this is a GREAT razor, but it is not great for me. I'm still going to probably have my dad try the existing razor and maybe buy him more if he likes it. I read this razor is great for people with Nickle allergies, but since I don't have any allergies, I have nothing to add in that department. Price wise, it's not a bad deal and ranges in roughly the same area as several low cost name-brand razors.Side note, I did only review this razor after the first use (very uncommon for me, as I like to wait a few weeks/months first for a better understanding on the product), so I cannot speak about long-term durability of the product.I'm super excited to see what new and improved razors this company makes so I can maybe one day fully transition over to them, but for now, I will only be purchasing more of this specific razor if my dad likes them.

Great product!!$$
Only complaint is: I always pop the head off. The button is big & my finger hits it often. It also doesn't have a blade cap. So the little cushion strip needs to be away from surfaces when you set it down after each use. Unless you don't mind it sticking to things. Really not that big of a deal. I love it. Just hate how expensive it is. Hopefully it lasts a long time.
