Works well, a little touchy to get the weight confirmed
Solid, stable on the floor,, and after testing appears to provide correct weights for my dogs from 15# to 48#. The weight read-out is very touchy, flickering around quickly even after pushing the "hold" button as the instructions read, and even when a stationary object is used as a test. It takes awhile to stop changing weight read-outs, but ultimately appears to read correctly. It's tough by myself to get the dog in position and staying still, then hit the "hold" button to get the weight to finish shifting - but once all done it works well,, is big enough for my dogs with a textured surface that's not slick. Would recommend.

Weighing dogs is easy and convenient
It is sturdy, large enough for my small and mid-size dogs to step onto and sit, large digital readout is nice as well.

Nice product (but consider needs of specific pet)
Wanted to like this product. It was nicely made, accurate, easy to use & solid for its price. For our 100 lb dogs-I considered buying the next size up (XL w/bigger platform), however, still needed a larger platform (in order to weigh senior dog in a down stay.) This model (or the XL/larger) would have worked if my senior dog could've fit on the platform in a down stay (laying down, unfortunately, she obstructed display and legs hung off platform so couldn't be accurate to weigh her that way). While standing as intended, in order to be able to read the display, she was simply too shaky, making the display move constantly, unreadable. It was perfect for our younger, 100 lb dog, in a nice, quiet, stand stay. Again, liked the scale, but considering needs of specific pets, was unable to keep it. Only other feature I would add is a no-slip rubber mat such as an outdoor rubber mat or yoga mat. The textured plastic surface was not workable for the senior dog, but ok for the younger. Overall nice product, just not quite right for the large, senior dog, who is the most important user in the household.

Accurate and reliable for a decade and counting.
I bought this thing ten years ago and it's still working great. It's more reliably accurate than my bathroom scale- I've never had to calibrate it and can't remember needing to change the battery more than a couple times.

Excellent scale!
Works well - it features a non-slip surface and is convenient to store (it fits under my dog’s ortho bed.) My dogs weigh 80 and 90 pounds - I can get accurate wights for each of them if I can get them to sit on the scale!

Accurate and works great
Ever have to stand on a scale and have someone hand you a 75lb dog to hold to get a weight on the dog? Can you say hernia?Found this great little gem on Amazon and bought it. For the price, we didn't have high hopes, but once it arrived, it was easy to set up (batteries) the instructions are clear (turn on scale, get dog on scale, press the hold button once the pup gets all 4 legs and tail on it), and boom! No hernia and you get a weight. The surface is slippery, so initially we put a towel down before turning it on, but now that she's used to it, we don't even bother (there are bribes of cheese involved).Initially we were a bit skeptical of how accurate it was, so we weighed her before a vet visit and both scales said the same. It's big (thankfully) big enough for a 72lb (she's on a diet) Siberian Husky, with ample room for a bigger dog. It's in our kitchen (needs to be on a firm, flat surface) and easily slides under a table that holds our microwave so it's out of the way, but slides out easy enough for use.Our only problem is that when Casey (the husky) feels she needs a cheese snack, she'll go stand on it under the table expecting her treats. An added bonus is that when we go to the vet now, it's not a battle to get her on the scale there. We just tell her "scale" and she gets on, sits and waits for cheese.

perfect for medium sized dogs
This is a really good scale for medium dogs, works well for my husky (27 kg). Too small for my german shepherd (41kg) or Mallinois (30 kg). It can certainly take the weight but Its hard for them to get all their paws on because they are a bit longer. Hard to get my St Bernard on as shes a larger and longer sized dog (49kg) If she sits perfectly on it the yes it works great.I use it for my smaller dogs and its perfect. I need a larger base for the bigger ones

Overall good but a few flaws
This would be better if it read in pounds and 1/10th of pounds instead of ounces. I have to convert to do any dose calculations for my mobile vet practice. The scale is accurate and repeatable but it would be great if you could press a button to hold the weight because it jumps around constantly even if an animal is standing still. It would be better if the surface of the scale was not a brittle plastic. The plastic edges of the scale are starting to break off after 6 months of use. Also, when dogs' nails click on it, they are often afraid of it. A yoga mat cut to expose the readout, can improve their footing and prevent the clicking/scraping of nails. Lastly, if you live in a cold climate, BEWARE of leaving it in your vehicle. This morning, my bag rolled onto the scale and shattered the glass (which is the entire scale sandwiched between the plastic and a grey paint). It is tempered so it stayed together, but I did cut my finger pulling it out of my bag before realizing it had shattered. Overall, the price is good and the function is good, but could use improvements. If I repurchase, I will not store in my vehicle when it freezes.UPDATE: I purchased a new scale in November. On January 30 the On/Off button fell off. I lost the button and it would no longer turn on. I found the button 2/2 and taped it back on and it worked until today. It will no longer turn on (I replaced batteries and it still didn't work). I don't know how to return this item now that it is after 1/31. Seems if a product doesn't work after less than 3 months, it is considered defective. Amazon, please help!
