I don't typically write reviews but I just had to for these. My senior dog was not doing well on the steps at our new house. They are wood oak stairs. He actually slipped and slid down 2 steps. Now he is up and down all the time. I also have a 3 year old learning stairs and he has done great. I was hesitant but took a chance on these stair treads. I have no regrets! I have not had any issues with the backing not sticking. I think some of the negative reviews may have been user error. I did not have the same experience. I had to redo some of them and it kept its stickiness. We have not had to wash them so I can not comment on how they hold up but so far my experience, everything in the description was accurate. They don't look or feel cheap either. I recommend. These come toddler and dog approved.

These were a game changer for my senior dog. He was starting to slip on the tiled steps to my basement, so I stopped letting him come downstairs to "help" me with the laundry and that made him sad. So I took a chance on these reasonably priced stair treads and I have no regrets! Idk what kind of adhesive they use, but it's pretty amazing-- they stick down really tight to the floor underneath, yet you can still pull them up and move them if you want. I had to redo some of them multiple times just to get it perfectly centered on my step (before I made myself a template) and it kept its stickiness through it all. I've had these for a couple of years now (I think) and none of them have ever come up. Dirt and stains wash off pretty easily, too. I have two dogs and two cats who have traversed these treads probably hundreds up times each by this point and they're still holding up! They don't look worn-out either. And they don't look or feel cheap in person. I would definitely buy them again.

I bought these for my RV that has plastic stairs inside the entry. I have two small Maltese and they were struggling with slipping on them coming in and out of the RV. Not only are these SO easy to install, they fit the steps perfectly the way I needed them to fit. (They weren’t made for RV’s obviously!) But I absolutely love them!

Very nice, very sleek and makes my steps look great! I love the fact that the tape on the back doesn’t mess up my floors and I could reposition them with ease. Bought these so my senior dog could make it up on down the steps on his own.

These are nice stair treads but, we felt they were still a little slippery for our needs. We want something that resists your foot. These just seem to cushion it with a chance to still slip on the stairs.

I was worried they wouldn't fit my steps in my fifth wheel but they fit perfectly! Love stepping down on carpet vs. the metal piece on the step.

I’ve had these for about a year now and have been very pleased with them! They absolutely do not budge, even when I vacuum them. No residue whatsoever if you need to pull them up or reposition them. I haven’t tried washing them yet, but I can’t see any reason why they wouldn’t hold up. The only downside is that they’re made of fairly cheap carpet, so in a high traffic area like a staircase, they will start to mat down a bit like any carpet would. Still well worth the money and a great alternative to a stair runner that needs to be stapled down.

Love these little carpet pieces. I put them on my wood steps for my aging Pomeranian. She is happy that she does not slip and fall on the steps anymore. They are easy to install and good quality. Would definitely purchase them again. I liked the brown I ordered.
