Very Fine Art Projects: for Artists and Educators

My copy of the wonderful book Very Fine Art Projects arrived yesterday. What a wonderful tool for helping families, especially those teaching their own children at home during COVID issues. It looks very good and I look forward to using it.There are many varied projects laid out step-by-step with clarity and logic. The book also includes everything from projects on drawing to tissue paper collage. There is something for every person's interest and talent. The projects also fully allow for personal creativity. I am sure it would similarly be a great tool for art teachers both those teaching in the classroom and those teaching remotely.The cover is very inviting and demonstrates the diversity of projects within. Of particular value in the realm of diversity is the inclusion of projects which help the user to engage in projects which bring a taste of ethnic and cultural diversity.The book is beautifully laid out and should be very easy to use, as the title says, by 'artists and educators' alike. In this time of online learning and home schooling, this is a particularly useful book and I hope that it draws broad attention.This is a very solid addition to the field. I am glad I bought a copy and will be letting all my friends know about it too.

I like this book. Several of the activities can be elaborated upon. She has many tissue paper projects, such as the one pictured, also tissue paper with traced flowers etc. I use aluminum foil as a base, paint it with Elmer's glue and arrange tissue paper, let it dry, give it a title. She also demonstrates monoprinting, landscapes in watercolor and creating a color wheel. I can modify these activities to suit the population. Also includes materials used for each project.
