Larger/longer than expected and good quality. This mat is heavy and made of harder rubber than your average cheap yoga mat. I find it supportive on my joints/knees. Easy to clean. No slippage during poses. A bit hard to manhandle because it is so large and heavy. Also the rubber feels cool to the touch so a bit less comfy for more chilled/stretchy practices. But theres probably no better mat for energetic flows! I wouldnt recommend this as a travel mat or to take with you to classes. They sell small versions if that's what you need. Also if you're new to yoga, I suggest going with a cheap mat first to see if you want to stick with a regular yoga practice (you can even get mats with pose markers to keep you well alligned). You really dont need to spend $100+ on a mat as a beginner. You might not even need a mat depending on your floors and it you can typically rent a mat if you're trying out new classes. But these mats are a nice treat/reward for consistent practice. I'm happy with my upgrade. I can tell this mat will last a long time even with my pup occasionally napping on it and walking over it with his claws/paws.

Very comfortable and thick

Every yogi needs a mat that suits their lifestyle. I'm a yogi who likes to take heated (not 110 degree, more like 80) vinyasa classes, yin yoga, and hatha. I sweat significantly in a vinyasa class, but obviously not at all in the others. B Mats have the BEST grip for a yogi with my type of practice. I never slide, and in fact, the grip is so strong it's helped improve my practice and my range of motion. I never think twice about my mat and can practice uninterrupted just as much body needs. I love the lavender color :) my boyfriend has an older B Mat, and I found that my new one is even more lightweight than his. So happy with this purchase, thank you B Mat!!

This is the best yoga mat I have had. Super soft when kneeling and lovely colour options. My only issue is it is to sticky. I read the reviews so knew it would be sticky but it collects all the dust from the floor or your feet during a yoga session. I wash it weekly to remove the dirt and air dry but it is as messy as ever after each class. Also I am a novice at yoga and on some moves such as trying to jump my feet to the front of the mat, should my little toe catch the mat I come to an emergency stop!! This has also happens when falling gracefully out of crow-pose where my finger ended up being bent back!!
