Great best one yet

Amazing album by Rammstein!

Being that this is Rammstein's 4th studio album (behind Herzeleid, Sehnsucht and Mutter), I don't think that I need to explain why Rammstein is such an excellent band to anyone. The album Reise, Reise once again proved to me, and countless other fans, that Rammstein can do no wrong, and is always progressing as a band. The tracks included on Reise, Reise are: Reise, reise, mein teil, Dalai Lama, keine lust, los, Amerika, Moskau, morgenstern, stein um stein, ohne dich and amour. There is also a 30 second clip that plays before the title track Reise, reise, and it is the last 30 seconds of Japan Airlines Flight 123 before it crashed on the 12th of August 1985, killing all but 4 of the 520 people on board. This was a very powerful, yet somber, way to start of Reise, Reise, and it really sets the tone for the album you are about to hear. The album opens with the title track reise, reise, a very heavy, no nonsense track that really gets the album going quickly. The following tracks: Mein teil, Dalai Lama, keine lust and morgenstern (which is my personal favorite from the album) all follow this same style, and they are all incredible. Then you have the tracks Amerika, which pokes fun at the commercialism of American culture, and Moskau, which speaks of Moscow's beauty (through the lens of Prostitution). Both of these songs are very catchy with a hard rock tempo, and they showcase Rammstein's use of humor perfectly. Then you have two tracks called ohne dich and amour, both of which sing about the positives and negatives of love. By slowing down the instruments, and the volume of Till Lindemann's voice, you get two beautiful and powerful songs. Once again I am amazed at the talent of Rammstein, their music never gets old to me, because they are always trying to progress their sound, while still staying true to what made them famous. Reise, Reise is amazing, period.

Rammstein was the first and is my favorite, Industrial Metal band that has been released from another country other than America. Rammstein's Sehnsucht was the first album I ever bought from them and mainly because of the internationally known 'Du Hast' song. Ever since then, whenever I am having a somewhat crappy day and I feel liking venting my frustration out through listening to the type of music that is related to how I feel, then I always listen to Rammstein. Then one day I heard the track, Amerika I knew that it had been awhile since I bought a new album from them and was very pleased to order Reise, Reise. Besides Amerika, I absolutely love cranking the volume to: Mein Teil (My Part) - Dalai Lama - Keine Lust (No Desire) - Los (Less) - Amerika (America) - Moskau (Moscow) - Morgenstern (Morning Star) - Stein Um Stein (Stone by Stone) - Adios (Goodbye) - Amour (Amour). Although not all the songs are as heavy as the songs from Sehnsucht, each track has more melodic symphony sounds, besides Mein Teil, which is all about Armin Meiwes a man found guilty in Germany for finding a willing person on the Internet to kill and then eat. And every step of the murder and cannibalism was video taped on a 2 hour tape which actually made some of the detectives seek dramatic therapy because the video was appallingly graphic. In closing, I absolutely love this album and the band Rammstein!

First off, I am a big Rammstein fan so I am admittedly biased when reviewing any of their recordings. In my opinion, Reise Reise is Rammstein's third best CD, behind Mutter and Sehnsucht. Highlights of Reise Reise are the title song, Mein Teil, Los, Amerika and Moskau. It is an entertaining album that should be in the collection of any Rammstein fan. I highly recommend this CD.

I've been listening to this one too much. It was not love at first bite, but it grew on me more and more, and now it may be my favorite CD. I love the play on words that Rammstein has had ever since Du hasst. Reise, Reise, and Mein Teil are great hard hitting hits straight away. I love the cool rhythm of Los, and the so visually sad song Stein um Stein. The song Amerika is a hit with everyone who hears it (Es ist nicht ein liebes lieder) but we all love it. My son 5 years old is learning of his German heritage, and always wants to hear this CD when I'm driving him to school. He say's "Daddy play the cool music." The first time he heard it, he asked if that was Wolverine singing. Rammstein has bridged an age gap and found itself loved by a new generation. Thanks also to Rammstein, my son is singing the chorus parts and learning some German language. So, sehen Sie, mit toll Musik, wir singen und sprechen unser Mutter gesprache zu Hause. Danke sehr!
