No cool air con
Let’s start with the positives: it came on time and works. The negatives, it doesn’t provide air con in any form. It literally is a fan, and the power is very minimal too so not particularly a good one. I added ice cubes, ice slush and extra cold water and still only a faint chill, if that.A desk fan would be a lot better. In fact I brought a fan and it was much better.

Nice Little Chiller in a Pinch
My A/C went on the fritz two days ago and my HVAC could not come until this afternoon. In the meantime, our house was 85 degrees at night. It was very hot in the 90's temp and in the upper 90's with the humidity. It was almost unbearable trying to sleep at night. So I order two of these Arctic Chill 2.0 hoping it would give us some relief. Amazon was able to deliver them early the next day.I set it up as directed and it does cool only if you are standing in front or near the unit. I put ice cubes in the reservoir along with ice cold water as suggested and it was much cooler. Unfortunately, it doesn't cool from across the room maybe 10-15 ft at most.I have the two units on along with the fan and it was still 82 degrees in the room so a little cooler. I have read some reviewers who complained that the water leaks from the unit. I found that if you raise up the direction lever, it does not leak but if you put the direction lever straight ahead or lower, then it will leak.I had it on turbo and it only gave me 2-2.5 hours at the most before needing to add more water and ice cubes so I could not use it to sleep with unless I want to get up every couple of hours to refill the reservoirs. I also want to mentioned that after 2-2. hours the plug in the outlet got very hot. I had to unplug it to avoid fear that it might burned out or my outlet gets overheated or starts a fire. A good little AC in a pinch. Luckily my HVAC guy came and was able to fix the problem so I will be sleeping comfortably tonight.

WORKS but . . .
I can see now why the reviews are all over the place. I read & reread the instructions multiple times as I was setting them up and getting used to how it works. First this is for very close, almost in your face use. It's not going to cool a room or anything other than what's in front of it. It's also very dependent on the ambient conditions. Early in the day before it gets really hot it's provides a nice cooling breeze but as the day becomes hotter and hotter it's useless. It does leak after a few hours of use not from improper filling. I've been very careful about not overfilling & keeping it level. That seems to correlate to how long it's been on, no problems for a couple of hours then water that soaks a small towel. It's on one side of the base, can feel it with my fingers even after it's been off for hours. Do Not use this on any surface that not waterproof and keep it away from electronics. The wall plug also gets very hot after several hours of use. I wouldn't leave this unattended ever. So I'm using it within it's limited parameters but if you need something that really cools throughout the day, it won't.

Great in the beginning then went down hill
So I was super excited to use these bought one for my room and another for my son’s room. Worked out great in the beginning. Got these beginning of April. It’s July now and they are both leaking and barely cool the room down. I put them on top of a tall bookshelf in my son’s room so he couldn’t get them. They never moved but I went to turn it on and noticed the towel underneath it was soaking wet. I turned it on and sure enough it leaked out water. On the highest setting it seemed to take a while to cool down my son’s room. I only used distilled water as that is what you are supposed to use for humidifiers not regular tap water. I’m a nurse this is the info to me by a well known pediatrician. I feel like these were a huge let down. I only ran them at bedtime. Also the lights are very bright in no way are they nightlights. I went back to using just a regular circulating fan in my son’s room as well as mine. Very disappointed. Not worth the money. Wish I could return them.

Power cord stopped working
I would rate it higher, but the power cord it came with doesn't really work with it. I thought it broke, but it was actually the power cord that stopped working. I ordered a different one and tried using the same cord and it didn't work either. That's when I realized the power cord had crapped out, not the unit itself. So now I have to return the other one I bought and get a better power cord for it. I like it because it does what it's meant to do though. I have it on the table next to my bed for when I sleep. I need it pretty cold to sleep comfortably, because I over heat easily when I sleep. My dog usually gets out of bed because she gets too hot too, but now with this she stays in bed with me most of the night so I feel like my dog likes it too. I like the night light option, it looks cool and it's not too bright to sleep with, but it's bright enough to see by when you wake up in the night. I also feel like it acts as a humidifier because I notice that the humidity in my reptile enclosures don't drop as much at night any more and I know that's probably good for all my plants too. If you're expecting it to significantly cool a room it won't do that, but it drops the room temp by a couple degrees after it's been on a while, but when you've got it pointed directly at you it will definitely cool you off.

Small Efficient Cooling Fan That Uses Ice To Decrease Temperature, Perfect For One Person
This was a good value to offer quickly cooled air flow during peak summer months. Do not expect a vast coverage range, this is likely just for a single person's immediate area, and move a couple feet in either direction from the vent flow and its affect is rather negligible. That being said, it is great at what it does, we keep ours on a bedside night stand. Simply putting ice from the freezer in the water well at top of the unit every hour or so will keep a nice stream of moist cooled air blowing. The fan is variable, so to reduce extemporaneous noise, I suggest a lower mid range setting, and after fiddling with it, figured out how to change light colors from the default blue, and usually just turn off the LED light to make a room darker for sleep. We considered getting a second one to move around the house, or just put on the opposite nightstand on other side of our master bedroom just so both of us could optimally enjoy cooled moist air and customize our settings.
