Comfortable, durable, convenient. (It's got a pouch for your phone!)
I got the 12lb vest in September of 2024, so about a year and a half ago, and have worn it for 30 minutes up to two hours on most days. The storage accessory makes it easy to stay consistent because I can put my phone in there and a roll of puppy-pickup bags so it's like a dog walking assassin kit. In terms of fit, I'm a pretty petite female with broad shoulders and wear it with the chest strap pulled almost all the way closed. There's some padding beneath the clasp it so it's still comfortable but a smaller-framed person might need more cinching options or another design. Somebody asked so I'll say here-- This weight took me quite a while to get used to, which I found weird because I'm not unconditioned and 12 pounds didn't seem like much. The difference, I think, is the consistent demand on your ligaments. My feet and ankles demanded breaks rather than my muscles, and took much longer to recover. They did strenghten over the course of about a year and I was able to move up to 20lbs (this vest plus an 8lb vest for optionality), which is a meaningful weight for me and does engage my muscles for a better workout. The look is fine. I got it in black so it blends in with my black tops. I walk at night so those little reflective strips are putting in the work trying to keep me alive.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Transformative Workout Tool — Balanced, Comfortable, and Surprisingly Versatile
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Transformative Workout Tool — Balanced, Comfortable, and Surprisingly Versatile After weeks of using the ZELUS 16 lb weighted vest, I can say with full confidence: this vest doesn’t just add weight — it adds purpose to your training. Whether you’re walking for weight loss, rebuilding endurance, or challenging your strength, this vest meets you where you are and pushes you forward. ⚖️ Well-Engineered Balance Makes the Difference Unlike bulky, awkward vests I’ve tried in the past, this one is thoughtfully designed. The weight distribution is perfectly balanced, front to back, so there’s no tipping, pulling, or shoulder strain. It feels secure and intentional — every movement feels enhanced, not hindered. This is especially helpful during: • Uphill walking • Squats and lunges • Core work • Modified HIIT exercises 🔒 Stays in Place — No Shifting Mid-Workout The adjustable straps and snug, contour-hugging fit make a huge difference. I can do jumping jacks, climb stairs, or even bend into yoga poses without the vest bouncing or riding up. That security lets me focus on my form and breath, not on adjusting the gear. 🧵 Built to Last — Sweat-Ready & Durable The neoprene fabric is breathable, flexible, and durable, which matters when you’re pushing your limits. I’ve worked out with it in humid outdoor weather and during indoor bodyweight sessions — it doesn’t trap heat or stink up. After several sweaty uses, it still looks and smells like new. That’s rare. 💡 More Than Just Extra Weight — It Builds Intentionality One of the most surprising benefits? Mind-muscle connection. With just 16 lbs added, every step becomes deliberate. It turns a casual walk into conditioning. It transforms squats into a power move. You feel your body working smarter and harder, not just heavier. ✅ Final Thoughts: This isn’t just a weighted vest — it’s a versatile fitness upgrade. Whether you’re walking in a weighted vest for fat burn or doing strength training without the gym, the ZELUS 16 lb vest is an excellent choice for real results. 🧠 Who It’s Great For: • Beginners building endurance gradually • Busy parents adding resistance to daily movement • Athletes cross-training at home • Women looking to increase core, leg, and glute engagement 💯 Would I recommend it? Absolutely. Would I repurchase it? Yes — and I might get a second one just for park workouts. This vest has become part of my weekly rhythm—and that’s what progress looks like.

12 lb Fits Women Well - Sturdy
I have been using this vest for a year now, and it has held up well. It is showing some cosmetic wear, but functionally is holding together fine. The magnetic stripes look the worst. This review is for the 12 pound vest. This one is sized well for women, but I can’t comment on the other weights. Materials seem sturdy , and construction has held up with regular use. I will say that it stank to high heaven for the first three months. I had to hang it up in the garage for several months to let it air out. It smelled like it was filled with ground up rubber tires. Over the summer, if I left it in the car, my entire car would stink like used tires. Thankfully, the smell did eventually wear off, and the vest is holding up well. I haven’t had any issues with it just be prepared to be a little patient and let it air out. I purchased another one and it did not have the problem, so you may get lucky and not get the smell at all. I am 5’4, 122 lbs, 34DD and it fits fine. Plenty of adjustability in the front strap for larger people. I have it snugged up fairly well. I use weight vests 5-6 days a week, so they do get put to the test 😎 Bought Dec 2024 - Photos are after about 8 months of use (had to air it out for a few months)

Comfortable! Easy to wear!
Purchased two of these in the 16 lb size. WHEW!!! Recently lost 20 lbs and all I could think was I WAS CARRYING THIS MUCH WEIGHT ALL THE TIME???? I didn't want to start with a lower weight because I knew we'd grow out of them pretty quickly. (Hubby and I). So we've been wearing them to walk dogs. Have not gone more than 2 miles yet with them on. They are really strong / sturdy and the straps adjust really well. No issues at all with strap length. You'll need to play around with it a bit to be sure the weight is distributed well so that it's not tugging on your shoulders or causing your back to hurt. Definitely effective! Reminds you not to slouch and to walk with good form!!!! They're kind of bulky so you won't really want to try and pack them to travel with them. We're really enjoying them and find them to be a great addition to our workouts!

Worth it
I love wearing this on runs or just going out for a hike. Long or short it’s very comfortable and not as bulky as I expected. The weight distribution is pretty good I don’t feel uneven at all and it’s very versatile (I mean I got black and that goes with just about anything) I do really love the little ring loops on the front so I can clip my keys and pepper spray right to me within reach. The pocket is also another thing I love carries some other goodies :) overall I recommend but it does hold some smell after a few uses, so it’ll definitely need a wash eventually, but I suppose that’s to be expected 😂

Great Quality Vest at a Great Price
I originally purchased a vest (not this brand) that was 6-8-10 pounds and I would change out the 1pound bags depending on what activity I was doing. I just found the vest to be big and bulky, so I searched again and found Zelus. I purchased a 6 and 8lb vest to see which one I would use more. The quality was great. I was able to adjust the straps, and it felt very comfortable. Price was great too, so I kept both of them. I use the 8lb vest for longer walks/hills and hikes. I use the 6lb vest for short walks and short runs. Highly recommend this product.

A very good vest for the cost.
Not sure why some people low rated this vest. I speed walk 2.5-3 miles 5 days a week, and it was getting too easy with low colorie burn, so I bought this vest in the 16 pound size. Pro's - even weight distribution with no shifting. - Good comfortable fit, with easy buckle adjustment in front and elastic side straps, wide shoulder straps. - Reflective stripes on front and back for night walking. - No chemical smell on unboxing. Con's- Not recommended for running as it can shift up/down. (unless you are just slow jogging) Tip - Do not store hung over chair back as prolonged hanging can stretch out elastic, store flat I really like this vest, I am 6'2" and 190 lbs and it fits fine, with the 16 lb (actual weight is 15.5 on digital scale. version giving my legs a real workout. pulse went up 10-20 depending on grade, be sure to wear good stable walking shoes as any weight vest will raise your center of gravity which takes getting used to.
