BHBS Unisex Rainproof Fabric Lightweight Multipocket Travel Backpack Bag with Storage Bag - Small Size

I had bought one of these a couple of years ago and was quite please with it. This latest purchase has only one improvement, but disappointingly incorporates changes which are not so good.I like the packet on the back which is now large enough to use - the old style was too narrow to be useful.The straps are the same as my old bag and not wonderful as they constantly slip out of place and could be improved.The top handle is now made of the same fabric as the straps. My old one is much thicker and sturdier making it rigid and easier to grasp. This fabric one will eventually bend and fold.The side pockets are virtually useless, the zip is narrow and the pocket deep so impossible to put in a small item unless you get a pair of pincers to reach to the bottom and retrieve it! While the old style had similar small pockets, they were not so deep so at least I could pop in a lipstick and get it out again! Why don't they make a side pocket to take a bottle of water instead? That would be practical and eliminate a useless side pocket and a zip!The top flap which bears the label is shown with a zip in the photo (as my other bag has). Instead it is now just velcro so not as safe and a disappointment. See photo.

I was well pleased with this little bag, as I am fed up of lugging a big rucksack round on our days out. It seems like decent quality, and reasonably "unisex" in appearance (we bought the grey one rather than one of the feminine colours). It has lots of small pockets, and I was pleased to find that the slender pocket under the front flap neatly takes a few sheets of A4 paperwork if you fold the paper in half (i.e. down to A5 size).The shoulder straps are quite thin with no padding, but when worn on the back, the rucksack seems to fit snugly so you can almost forget about it. The thin straps do reduce the bulk of the item, making it easier to pack in a suitcase when going on holiday (or even "nested" inside a bigger rucksack as part of your hand luggage).This small bag will force me to curb my tendency to take dozens of things on every day out "just in case"!

Perfect for what we wanted. We use it as our dog walking bag, has enough pockets for everything like treats, bags etc and the larger compartment for water and small bowl.

Not used this yet but this bag seems to be just what I want to use on days trips from our cruising holidays. Not too big, not too small but with enough room for all I need on a day out from the ship. The number of pockets is a big bonus as I can make best use of all the room in the bag. Some other reviewers have mentioned the flimsiness of the straps, I have some concern about that when I look at them but need to try it out before I can give an opinion on them. Big + point is the concealed pocket which is against my back when the bag is on, just the place for a small purse or cards.

I bought this to replace my previous pink rucksack, which sadly is showing signs of wear and tear after three summers of use. The previous one was called "Fantasy", whereas this one is "Royal". Although almost identical in design to my previous one, there are one or two different touches; the side pockets now have longer zips which make them more accessible, a good design improvement. The back straps and top handle are in a slightly inferior material to the previous one, which I fear may strain and possibly give when the bag is full, but time will tell. The only other difference was that there is now only one zip to access the main compartment, whereas the previous one had two; very easy to zip from both sides and meet in the middle at the top - again, time will tell I guess. Hope it will last as long!

This seemed good value for money but I had to return it as it was too big for the purpose I wanted it.The top of the front not only had a zipped pocket but there was also a flap going over this which added to the security of carrying items in it. . Something I hadn't seen clearly from the pictures of this bag was that a purse hung right in front. This could not be tucked in anywhere which I would have wanted to do if I had put keys or money into it and it would have been difficult to dethatch.

I have just bought a second one of these backpacks as I have been using my present one for over 5 years now. I am disabled and find this is just the right size for me when I fly for my holidays. It has a convenient pocket to put my passport and purse with out my worrying if someone could get into it . The main pocket takes my tablet, book and crossword book. I use all the other pockets for various items including the little purse on the side which takes my medication. My present one is still not worn out, but I was worried I would not be able to buy another when it did eventually need replacing.

Haven't had this very long so don't know how hard-wearing it is, but in terms of size, number and location of pockets, comfort etc it's brilliant! Wanted something large enought to take a waterproof, kindle, camera, hairbrush, phone and purse. On a recent trip it took not only all that but a micro fleece, thin cardigan, small shopping bag, folding mirror, travel cards, hankies, Lipsyl, second camera and cereal bars. And there was STILL some room in it! It's got some pouches and zip pockets inside the main compartment, which is protected by the velcro flap, as well as a zip pocket on the back, so plenty of choice for safe places to put money. As other people have pointed out, the side pockets are a little awkward, but still usable. All in all very pleased and would highly recommend this bag.
