A great character for branching out with McFarlane
Out of McFarlane's lineup, I am quite a fan of collecting the DC line (I have technically also grabbed a single Mortal Kombat figure as well, but it was the Joker, so I wasn't branching out all that much with that one), but other than the Assassin's Creed figures they did about a decade ago, I haven't really explored many other of the franchises they have covered. So, with this figure being available for an amazing sales price, and having seen some of the show (and quite liking the character), I decided to bite, and I do not regret it.Just to start, while this is the 7 inch line, she comes in a lot smaller than my other figures of the same scale, but I do think it was deliberate, as pictures of the rest of the lineup seem to place her accurately about a head shorter than a character she is supposed to be shorter than. If scale really matters to you, that may be a hiccup.Otherwise, though, this figure excels. While still absolutely looking like the source material, Vex gets a lot of subtle detail to make her more realistic than the 2D-animation allows, which just looks really nice in-hand. The colors pop nicely, the expression is extraordinarily in-character, and it really fulfills its purpose perfectly. If I were to change one thing, having the bow done up with a semi-flexible plastic really doesn't quite do enough for poseability; back with the aforementioned Assassin's Creed figures in 2013, Connor got an actually elastic string on his bow, and it's a shame they've stopped doing that for modern figures. However, this is easily one of my absolute favorite McFarlane figures yet. It was worth it at the sale price, and it would still be worth it at full price if you like the character too.

Dungeons & Dragons
This is a neat figure and adds a new party to my collection from the 80's. I enjoyed the new series and the figures are neat as well.

Some joints really loose, but can still achieve dynamic poses! :)
Action figure: Vex'ahliaSome joints were too loose, but I tried to snap some pictures to help show some articulation :)--Overall (I do overall first, to save a long read).I feel that this figure is durable, has a good sculpt and was a lot of fun to pose for pictures! :) However, there are some aspects that might be concerns for some people. Such as...The eyes are painted to be looking to the left. I feel whether this is good or bad is subjective. I might try to repaint the eyes to being centered. However, this did not lower the score, as it is personal preference. What disheartened me the most was that with the figure I received, after moving joints 3 or 4 times, the following joints became very loose: shoulders, elbows, ankles (very loose), toe hinges and quiver attachment (falls out often)To help remedy the loose joints, I put drops of liquid floor wax into the loose areas and that helped tighten them a bit temporarily. The head/neck, diaphragm, waist, wrist and knees didn’t get too loose.Rating: 4.3 out of 5 stars.Although this figure was fun to pose and I appreciated the ranges of motion, since Amazon’s rating is in whole stars, this was rounded down to 4 stars.Would I buy another? Yes, because it is a good figure, good value ($12.00) and I want to try some DIY (Do It Yourself) to address the joints, etc. :)--For a bit more in-depth information, on to the articulation.Articulation.Head (shown in photo):Rotates 360 degrees, side tilts well left & right, backwards is almost nil, but head tilts forward-down well.--Arms:L (Left) arm raises laterally to horizontal (90 degrees).R (Right) arm raises about 45 degrees (65 degrees if pushing it). Both arms have:Bicep 360 degree swivels.Double-jointed elbows. The L elbow folds 180 degrees, but the R elbow folds slightly lesser than the L elbow, even when the R elbow is away from the shoulder fur.Wrists rotate 360 degrees and have hinges that can be carefully rotated so the hands can bend in a variety of angles.--Torso (shown in photo):Diaphragm joint allows for 360 degree rotation, good lateral bending and good bending backwards. But, very little bending forward.Waist joint is a ball/socket, which can rotate 360 degrees, bends slightly to the sides and slightly back. But, very little bend forward.--Hips:Just shy of full lateral splits (shown in photo). Impressive!Hip joints also allow for legs to rotate 360 degrees.--Legs to toes:Kick forwards approx. 60 degrees.Kick backwards approx. 55 degrees.Double-jointed knees fold back almost 180 degrees,Ankle joints function similarly to the wrist joint. But, on mine, the ankles got loose very quickly.A toe-hinge on each foot.--If you’ve made it this far... thank you! Hope the review & pictures were helpful. Take care :)

Good likeness of the character and well crafted.
I don't usually give 5 stars but this is well crafted and a good likeness of the character.

Looks even better in person!
Honestly, I wasn’t floored by the images in the product listing. I thought it looked okay, but could probably be better. But, having only had great experiences buying products from both McFarlane and CR in the past, and being a huge CR fan, I ordered both the Vex and Percy figures. I just received them in the mail today, and honestly, they look so much better in person! The detailing is so accurate, the paint job is clean, and this figure really captures Vex’s spirit so well! I have no complaints at all; I’m VERY happy with my purchase! Can’t wait til the rest of the party is released!!!
