This is a very useful and compact setup. Doesn't take a lot of effort to setup or teardown. Once setup it is very sturdy. The monitors have their own little kickstand so you can use them without the base. I wish the two monitors set a little lower. I push my laptop back so the back sets on the arms to keep the laptop screen even with the two monitors. If the two monitors mounted a little lower the laptop could set flush on the base and still be even (not off by much and not a big deal). The stand comes with a nice carrying case. Form fitting with a carrying handle. But it doesn't include any pucket/etc to store the required cables. You will probably have your laptop in a bag where you could store the cables, so not an issue. But, it would be nice to be able to easily store the cables with the stand when transporting, in cases where needed. The base is very solid. But this is accomplished by using solid metal parts and as such the setup is a little heavy. My laptop only has 2 C-type ports, literally. So straight out of the box i connected each screen to each c type port, both worked instantly...but that meant no charging cable, no mouse, nothing else since both c ports were being used. So what I do is use one of the C ports to connect direct to one screen, and the other c port i connect a hub (was about $25). From that hub, although it has 2 C type ports, the remaning screen cannot connect to one of them because it will not work if the c is being "shared", it will only work if it's direct to the laptop. So from the remaning screen i use an HDMI (screen to hub) and a c type cable to USB A (from screen it's the C, to the hub is an A.). Hence, it really is only one additional cable for this format. And now on the hub i can also connect the charging cable, a mouse, a jiggler, and a memory stick!! Both screens work great!!! **Q: How much do they weigh?** A: 4.94lbs per the info in ad.
