love š
I really enjoyed the second volume to this series! I watched the anime before I even knew this existed so Iām not surprised that I like it this much. If anyone is curious, this book takes about the second half of the first season. Oddly enough continues a little past where the show ended. And there seem to be some small things changed. Nothing to seriously make them different but enough for a person to notice. If anyone is wondering if there is a point to reading this even though they watched the anime- I say wholeheartedly, yes! Now I must admit, watching the show, Miyo did annoy me a bit towards the end. But after reading this and being able to see her thoughts- her actions make a lot more sense in the anime. There are just things that they couldnāt include in the anime that the novels can. Also SPOILER ALERT- it seemed the whole dream sequence in the anime where Miyo basically has to face herself before she can save Kiyoka was not in this novel. So that was a nice added thing for the anime. But I was confused at first when it didnāt happen thinking maybe I remembered the anime incorrectly. If I had any complaint, it would be that some details are not explained. I think most of the time you can infer and make a strong guess, but there are just things to the Japanese culture that simply doesnāt get explained in the novel because it is likely common knowledge for the target audience. Which as an American reading- we donāt already know or understand some of their culture. But thatās a very small complaint. I love the book and am already reading the third.

Amazing
Still as good as other adaptations! Only, there were three typos that snuck past the editor. The epilogue is everything I've been looking for with this story. Thank you for writing it! š

wonderful!
I love this story so much! I bought all the available novels that was released. I canāt wait to finish it. Netflix based their series in these novels, but reading this made so much more sense about the point of view of each characters. Though there are some difference, I canāt wait how it would be portrayed in the Netflix series.

I liked it, I hope the next one has a faster pace though
There were a lot of interesting ups and downs and revelations that made it a good read. I do wish that there was a little bit more commitment to the potential negative consequences of events. Some of the more interesting developments felt more like a convenient plot device to navigate to the conclusion desired as opposed to a naturally developed story. As much as I hate the archetype of forced separation, or the overused injured loved one, I still feel like it adds real consequences to events that are potentially quite threatening. By having these consequences hand waved away super easily, this makes the weight of the danger feeling significant. I understand that the point of the story is a " happy marriage " but at the same time, the joys of a successful union or marriage are only better enjoyed by the reader as a reward for enduring hardships together. So far the hardships have been very temporary separations, almost the same just very slightly different flavor, they were immediately resolved. This formula is starting to feel weak and boring. I do appreciate that Miyo has had a very rough life, I do not secretly wish her a bunch of sadness or more strife but if the story is going to be interesting she has to have a source of growth that's believable as does her spouse to be. I feel like we are walking the fine line of the story falling into the realm of generic instead of refreshing. I have high hopes for the series, I am very tired of the media filling our storytelling with dysfunctional relationships. I want to see this as a functional successful relationship story. Unfortunately the only way for to still be interesting is to have some sort of conflict still exist. Having that conflict be something that brings the couple together in a healthy way to resolve the conflict would be the goal here. The reward for succeeding would be the happy marriage results. A little bit of realism would not hurt but it has to be done in a way that doesn't just turn it into a soap opera or your everyday drama.

Love the unique story and world
I really love the unique world and unique magics of the story and look forward to many more and learning new things about this world and the people involved. I liked the characterizations I felt really involved with the main characters ups and downs and just like wow on some of the things that actually happened and looking forward again to continuing the story and hoping that we can get some happiness but I know they'll have to be other things coming so one step at a time thank you

love it, the romance, hardship, supernatural
I LOVE romantic, tragic, historical mangas & light novels. This one in particular touches my heart because not just anyone would have loved Miyo gift or no gift; her motherās side of the family included, but she found someone that does love her. The understanding and patience Lord Kudo shows Miyo warms my heart.

Couldn't wait
I started watching the anime version of My Happy Marriage on Netflix Sunday. I was so in love with the story that I couldn't wait until Wednesday for the next episode to find out what happened so I purchased the book. I really enjoyed it. Fixing to buy the next one.

Love, trauma, magic
I'm in love. This series has proven to be a wonderful mix of romance and fantasy. I am thrilled to see an anime adaption on Netflix, congratulations to the talented writer, Akumi. The animation is as stunning as your beautifully written stories.

Book is thicker then expected š
The book has 188 pages. The writing is good. Can't wait to sit down and read it but since it arrived before the first book I have to wait. I watched the anime and I loved it now I want to read the book series. It came in brand new condition. The front cover is absolutely perfect š„°From reading the the back of the book it's kinda sounds like it's still the first season of the anime, but will know more once the first book arrives and I actually start to read it.I finished both book in less then a week and can't wait to keep reading them.

I fell in love with story from the very beginning!
This story caught me from the beginning. I saw the 6 first episodes in Netflix in one night. Afterwards I decided to buy the novel 1 in kindle since I could not find the printed version, and also bought the manga in printed version. This story has become an obsession to me and Iāve already convinced my daughters to see it, and they have also become a fan. I just finished the 2nd novel in kindle and I am about to buy the 3rd one in kindle version. I already own the 4th vol printed version. Akumi thanks so much for writing this novel and most of all for sharing it with us! Love, Mildred :D

Highly recommend
It is better to read the light novels than just the Manga versions, it is an amazing story to follow through on.
