This is the second JJC hood I’ve purchased and I am once again very impressed. The bayonet-style locking mechanism is a breeze and it’s very easy to reverse to keep in on your lens for easy storage. As others have said, this particular hood is a bit of a tight fit but not by any means an issue. It doesn’t require a lot of force to take off or put on or anything. It’s just pleasantly snug. I think this is a great hood and will continue buying more JJC products in the future.

Perfectly fitting, matte finish, sturdy, looks better than on the photo. I definitely recommend it.

Goes on lens easily and looks great. Good value for cost.

Doesn’t fit Canon EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 is STM Lens

Used for Canon M50 kit lens. Much cheaper than canon original. Fits very tight, so tight its hard to turn and remove. Its harder plastic than originals. Theres quite a bit more friction when turning, especially when clicking to lock in place. Texture and sheen is not as appealing as original. Difficult to quantity $$ worth. Despite the differences to the original, I just can’t justify paying 4X’s $ for a piece of plastic. If one’s perpective is in absolute dollars and not relative value, then buy the original. Afterall, relative to the cost of an entire camera package, the original shroud $ is inconsequential.
