(No books in our sets overlap.) Review: Wonderful! - Love these little spots! They’ve been a staple in my work with children. Even older children like them! Review: A Little SPOT of Feeling HIT the Bullseye!! - I just got the SPOT box set and activity book. I am so excited. I am an elementary school counselor and have been using the SPOT EMOTIONS for K-2 classroom visits and also doing small groups with them. My students LOVE the SPOT books and activities. They have been asking me about the purple spot and I told them it was a SPOT of Learning and now I have it in a plushy (they are going to love it) I will be using this new activity book in multiple settings. I can see using it when I talk to students individually and have them draw what their sad spot looks like, or use it in large group activity after reading the corresponding book and finally I will use it in small groups when working on specific skill. The kids adore the plushies. I use them in my office when student come in to see me. I also use them when I go into the classroom and students can’t wait until it is their turn with the SPOT plushy. One of my students saw me at the store the other day and she yelled to her mom “It’s the SPOT lady mommy” It was really cute but I realized how much my students love Diane Alber books and the message that goes along with it. Developing emotional regulation for young learners especially after COVID and being at home is more needed then ever.

Social Skills/ Pragmatic Language
My students loved this book, the plush spots and when used with the videos, the lessons were perfect! Used it for students with Autism or Regular education students working on social skills/pragmatic language.

This is a great educational tool for kids who are struggling how to express their emotions.
Great for sensory issues and identifying their emotions, there’s a book set that I recommend pairing with this. It’s called, “A Little Spot Emotional Regulation Box set”. I bought that and this so my son could not only use his imagination/pretend play, but also connect each emotion and use groups to help eliminate negative emotions by replacing it with a positive emotion, and show which emotions he has in different situations and environments. I would definitely recommend all parents buy these to read to their children, therapists, for schools and teachers who need extra help too. Checkout my photos for the content inside! Hope you enjoy it like I did 🙂.

I don’t like the emotions…
May be perfect for some. The emotions chosen are confusing to me let alone trying to reach out to kids. Other than that, great product, good quality

Activity book Bonus!
This is an awesome box set!!! We used the display from the packaging and hung it on my son’s wall by the door to his bedroom. It’s a great storage space for the feelings and easy access when he needs help communicating any of those feelings! The activity book is a bonus! The pages are perforated so you can tear them out if you want. It’s more fun to color than a regular kid’s coloring book or any ‘adult’ coloring book I have seen. It’s functional and applicable. Good buy.

Kindergarten
Used in kindergarten. The students love this series. They can relate to the feelings and the strategies are age appropriate to use. The students love the spot stuffies that go with each booklet
