Cheap and unreliable controller
I've had several Corby presses over my life, but my last Corby 7700 developed a fault in the controller unit such that it would not stay on for more than a few seconds at a time. Now bought a replacement which won't even power on. Can't help but suspect that the electronics on these trouser presses are cheap rubbish. Sadly they appear to have a monopoly on the market, so little incentive for them to improve their products.
