Samsonite Classic 2.0 Wheeled Business Case, 15.6 inch, Black

This is my husband's second Samsonite bag. First one lasted 5-6 years with lots of air miles & travel. This is his "go to" computer bag

This is my second one - first one lost wheel bearings that made it noisy and less smooth to pull and the handle was harder to collapse. But it lasted for almost 7 years, so...

I have had 3 of these durable bags over the past 25 years or so. It gets quite a workout daily, and I repeat buying it because of its durable. By far my favorite bag.

Wanted a simple carryon type bag. This is supposed to be a briefcase. Not a high-quality briefcase but is marginally higher in similar sized carry-on bags. The handle is junk. Only sufficient for short walks within an airport. I use high quality for real business briefcases with highly reliable handles. (My current one has lasted nearly 30 years. This one is good enough for 3 to 5 personal trips likely.) It satisfied my need. Smaller carry-on that was fairly easy to use for a few personal trips. Do not recommend for the serious traveler or business user. It's worth the highly durable business travel gear from professional brands. (Not designer brands. Those too are a joke. There are only a few factories. Is color or icon important?) Focus: wheel structure, safety, expandability, weight, and quality of the materials. For business, I want adaptability, low weight (there is no such thing as elevators in out of trunks, overhead compartments, or the stairs typically at every major building), safety, long life, and reliability even in city sidewalks. (Samsung would only survive about 3 business trips.)

I use this for the jobs that I do. I really love the front that it has really thick stand, and it is higher up so the bag won’t tilt forward when I have my equipment it.

I bought this rolling briefcase as a replacement for the older model (wheels fell apart and can’t be replaced). It has a lot of compartments and pockets, and fits a large laptop, files, books, writing utensils, etc. The only drawback is that it arrived smelly, like a strong plastic odor. I unzipped everything and have been airing it out so far for a week. My only hope is that it lasts as long as my last one, which was about 9 years.

I had a bag just like this one for years and it finally wore out. If this bag lasts as long as the previous bag I will retire before it wears out.
