It's good
I use mesquite flour for some Native foods cultural stuff, and I have a mesquite flour chocolate chip cookie recipe. This does the job really well. Good flavor and consistency.

I love the sweet, whisper of smoky taste this flour adds to select baked goods. It pairs especially well with chocolate and rich sweet spicy flavors like cinnamon, cloves and ginger. I first started using this flour years ago when my daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease and continue to use it because of the rich, complex taste. Good quality
I used this product to duplicate a hot chocolate drink I enjoyed at a local vegan restaurant. They graciously shared the recipe. Enjoy. 8 ounces of your milk of choice, 1 tsp cocoa powder, 1 Tbls mesquite powder, a sprinkle of cinnamon, a splash of coconut oil (I used 1 tsp), sugar to your taste (I used coconut sugar). Heat and mix thoroughly.

Quite tasty
I used this in a corn casserole and it really complemented the flavors of the southwest. I just wish it were made in the US as there are plenty of mesquite trees in the southern regions. This bag will last me a while.

I have a wonderful ideas in working on recipes for sweet treats, bake goods and experimental new food to add in meals too. I already tried a quick and easy treat using dates and nuts for nutritional healthy way of eating.Thanks 😊

This is my second packet of mesquite bean pod flour, this time from a new source, and, happily, it is just as good as my first packet was. I do not use it for any nutritional purpose-- I am always suspicious of all the supposed health benefits of the latest fad foods. However, it does well what I want to do: provide a unique and interesting sweet flavor to my artisan breads. Just make sure you sift it, and start off with just a little bit, because it packs a lot of flavor--a sweet gingery, cinnamon-y, chocolate-y ...something. I'm happy.

Chocolate flavor
Great powder to add to smoothies. Flavor is very rich and bold. Stronger than a milk chocolate but not bitter like Cacao.
