HITACH 3.5in 8TB 7.2K SATA 6.0G/bs - 512e 128M Review: Working great for external media storage. - So far working great. Runs cooler than my other drives... stored in an external drive container without fans, I used a nice software program to monitor it's operating temperature and this Helium filled drive runs less than 5 degrees warmer than when in my tower case, and still cooler than the older 2 TB drive I had in this external drive container. Access time and bandwidth (using a 4+ year old SATA connection) is faster than the prior drive, streaming audio and video to my remote networked media center without problem.
