Shortly after that the seam of the lining started to come apart of its own accord (the hot tub was not misused in any way and in fact it had not been used for over a week prior to the seam coming apart) and this caused it to deflate. I explained to the manufacturer what had happened, that it was a seam coming apart through either poor build quality or design and not a puncture caused through fault if our own. They almost gleefully responded that because the liner was over 6 months old (7 months in fact) all we could do was by a new liner or make do with a tiny repair patch. Obviously the patch did not work on the seam because the two layers over lap so air could still escape. I then bought a larger patch repair but still to no avail. Based on how the first one performed there was no way I was going to spend more money on such a poorly built product.
