Twisted tales
Definitely worth reading... Iss book mein saare emotions hain jo ek aam aadmi ki zindagi mein hote hain. Life mein utar-chadhav aur usmein God ka role. There is always a thin line between coincidence and miracle. And I like the thought the writer has on God’s existence, the unexpected twists at the end of each story was superb. The writer was put in a situation from which there was clearly no way out, aal was doomed and then something miraculous happened and the writer came out unscathed. The JNU (Jawahar lal Nehru University) story was a particularly unique. Try reading this, you will surely enjoy.

Compassionate
A compassionate storyMs. Geaumont weaves a story of characters you fall in love with, especially the main one, Auma. How friends become our best families, and are there through thick and thin. Her story telling is easy and right from the heart. She draws you in from the start. This story meant a lot to me because of when I was raising children in the `60's and 70's. Along with other women on the street, we'd get together for coffee, cards and dance to rock and roll music while our children played or napped. Auma brought out how wonderful women are in the support of raising children and beyond. The sisterhood for life. What a wonderful support network. These women have differences, yet understand how each other feels, through sickness and health, especially when a husband is no support or just too busy to listen.I saw myself in this novel, and am sure others like me will do the same when it's read.Ms. Geaumont's book is something I will treasure forever. It's a keeper.

SISTERHOOD IS ALIVE AND WELL!!
I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this book, OMG I can so-o-o-o relate to many of the stories which AUMA journaled about. As moms we all go through much "TRAMA & DRAMA" associated with raising children. The SOCIETY OF SISTERS group which AUMA journals about is definately what kept her sane though it all-during both the good and the bad events of her life, they were right there by her side! God knows there were days when I could have easily "choked my own offspring"(kidding) were it not for my own circle of "gal pals" to get me through those desperate moments! I am an official "MEM" (AUMA) twice over so I feel the true blessing of having grandchildren and I can laugh at all those early years with "my 3 angel sons"-ha! This is a MUST read which will make you both laugh & cry but it's a very FEEL GOOD and inspirational read! This would make a great gift to any new mom or DEAR friend!!

Loved It!
I truly enjoyed this read. I can relate on so many levels and it just makes you remember what's really important. It made me wish that my grandmother had kept a journal. I would have loved to have known her as a young girl and to hear about her hopes and dreams. It makes me want to share this with all the young people in my life so that hopefully they will consider leaving this kind of legacy to their children and grandchildren.

A Great Read!
I really enjoyed reading Becoming Auma. Being a member of a Moms Group, I could idenitfy with the friendships that are formed between strangers when you raise children together. It was amazing to read how these fourteen women grew and changed over the years and yet never stopped supporting eachother. This book inspires you to be a better friend. Becoming Auma will make you laugh, cheer, cry, and show you the power of having wonderful girlfriends.
