Great if you're laid up after surgery and need an on off cord you can reach without being too tall or having to reach too high. My wife actually put the extension on for me and then tied a pretty ribbon to make it reach all the way down to me when I'm lying in the bed. I wouldn't want a piece of chain in the bed with me but the extension, plus the ribbon works beautifully. I can feel around in the dark and find the ribbon and turn on the light without moving from the bed. If the ribbon gets out of place I can even use a wooden stick that I keep with me to help grab things and simply wave it until it grabs the ribbon and then pull the ribbon to me where i am in the bed.

Worked perfectly to replace the broken chain in my toilet. Several months now and still going strong. Tried others that rusted away in days.

Replaced chain on vertical blind easily. Would have been better job with larger size balls.
