Dragonfly Bluetooth/USB 4-Pedal Controller

The interfacing out of the box can be a little wonky, but you can program the “modes” to do specific actions that you like. Quite pricey, but I expect this to last me until I have a stable enough career to buy its replacement.

I needed a versatile and accurate page turning pedal and the PageFlip Dragonfly checks all those needs!I initially chose the PageFlip Dragonfly, in particular, because it turns itself off after 30 minutes and works well with Eneloop Rechargeable batteries.i.e. it seemed like other page turning pedals don't turn themselves automatically; that was a deal killer for me because reaching down towards the floor to turn off a page turning pedal is a hassle when I'm done playing my piano.The "automatic off" feature doesn't turn off the PageFlip Dragonfly's LED's, so I simply don't turn them on.

It needs some tweaking to work out of the box with YouTube or Strum Machine. In one setting, the top two buttons do what I want - go to previous or next song, but the bottom two buttons don't do what I want. In another setting, the bottom buttons are right but not the top buttons. I think it is just a matter of reconfiguring it from the computer but I haven't done that yet. I'd like to use the PageFlip to help me learn small sections of old time music tunes on YouTube which requires a lot of restart and play commands. It is almost there. Strum Machine always has excellent tech support so I expect success soon.

Pedals are strong and do not slip. Pairing is no problem even with Samsung tablet A9.7 (2019).I wanted to reprogram the pedal functions but the PC program does not find the pedal on Bluetooth even with 5.0 Dongle. It seems that it requires a specific BT dongle (which Page Flip will sell you).

I use my Pageflip Dragonfly for music performances with my church. It works amazingly well when I’m only using it with my iPad, but when I connect my iPad to my tv through Apple TV (the old version), OnSong (on app I use it with) flips both the onscreen words and the page on my iPad. They may be working out this bug as I’ve filed a support ticket with them. But when I’m just using it on my iPad, it works great. I had to re-pair it when my iPad OS updated, but other than that I’ve not had any problems. I also use it with ForScore and it is fantastic with that. I’m trying to make all the other musicians I play with jealous! I think it’s working!The pedal itself is great. There are a few issues with the apps and how they interact with the pedal, but I really enjoy having this little guy as it makes turning pages SO EASY!

I had an issue connecting to my iPad Pro. I called pageflip and the customer service was outstanding. The issue was not with the pageflip but with a setting on my iPad. The agent was super patient and figured it out. I’m so happy! Nothing beats good customer service!

This product works well, however, when using custom programmed keys, it changed the Bluetooth identifiers. It would not pair back up with secured laptop for work. Reseting to factory settings allows it to work, but not with the custom key set required.

I really love this concept! Saves a lot of music page turning grief on my iPad! However, it is hard for me to feel any "click" to sense when a page might have turned. If I push harder, then I turn too many pages! I think time and use will help me figure it out! I used it playing the keyboard at two outdoor weddings this last summer and have also used in a church service.

Ich benutze den PageFlip ausschließlich zum Blättern in Noten und Partituren. Meist in Verbindung mit ForScore auf einem iPad Pro.Die Verbindung war innerhalb von Sekunden hergestellt und wenn man die Beleuchtung am PageFlip deaktiviert, halten die Batterien auch wochenlang.Kann ich empfehlen!
