Art, Vocabulary - Thank you Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser
The Fancy Nancy books by Jane O'Connor and Robin Preiss Glasser are fantastic. My four year-old daughter and five year-old son both enjoy them, and I do not mind reading them to them. I enjoy graphic novels and sequential art, and these books simply have strong illustrations - autumn books, with the fall colors, are particularly nice. Fancy Nancy has a universe going. Her father, mother, sister, friends, and teacher, Ms. Glass, provide a nicely realized world of interested, caring adults, and the books have a nice use of vocabulary that is not too complex to teach children new words in context.

Cute, but has silly reference to Christmas in the conclusion
I love Fancy Nancy, but this book wasn't the best. The story is fine up until the end when *SPOILER* Nancy decides to use the fall leaves to make something special--a CHRISTMAS WREATH. Why is it a "Christmas Wreath?" There's nothing Christmas about it. It's a fall wreath with fall leaves...so to end with the reference to Christmas seems out of place. And yes there are stickers with the book. None of them are characters--they are pictures of leaves and other objects, but no Fancy Nancy herself. They're nice stickers, but it would have been more fun to have them be of Fancy Nancy, Jo Jo, and Frenchy.

Fall is great fun
I love this book. my grand daughter does too. She is reading all my Fancy Nancy books. This one is great as we change seasons. Always fun.

The stickers were old and didn’t stick = disappointed daughter
We love Fancy Nancy books and have a ton of them! This one unfortunately, when we got to the stickers to put them in her sticker book, none of them stuck and they just kept falling out.
