Very easy to use and now my dog doesn’t get caught around the legs of the chair

We have recently begun traveling in a class B motorhome with our two dogs. We tried various solutions including traditional cable tie outs for when we are stopped for the night. The dogs got tangled constantly. Saw this product at a Camper’s World and thought about trying one. Read the reviews here on Amazon and was still a bit skeptical, but decided to give it a go. Right now I would give it a full 5 stars, but since we have only used it on one trip so far, I can’t speak to durability. I will say that I can usually just push it far enough into the ground for it to work, but have used the cap and gently hammered it in as well. Seems quite sturdy. It is perfect for our 38 pound lump of muscle pittie mix. We put him on this and our other dog on a regular tie out at a distance where they can meet but not tangle. Our little guy loves the freedom and doesn’t mind the pull. That said, as stated in other reviews, this may not work well for smaller dogs even when correct size is ordered. It does maintain a slight pull that could be problematic for them. I will try to update as to durability at the end of the season.

The plastic coated wire wore quickly, revealing the wire underneath which my Labrador had then wrapped around her hind foot. Tightly.

This item has met my expectations. I went through multiple dog leads at $8.99/ea as my dog would wind herself around every last piece of patio furniture, eventually barking incessantly until you came out to release her and unravel the wire. Eventually, without fail the cord would weaken and snap, leaving me to tie the sharp ends together until I went out to buy a replacement. With this, that is no longer a problem, even for a 2-yr old shihtzu she’s strong enough to pull this around. It rotates 360 degrees and I think because of the tension on it, she knows that she’s tethered and No longer winds herself around the tables and chairs, or if she has, She must be guided back. She hasn’t been tangled once. I’d buy this again if it were to break. It’s also much easier to pick up and travel to another house or park.

It durable and works well but a little heavy for my small dog to pull. The top part broke off after a couple of months and my small dog was dragging it in the yard. Smh!

As expected, except the cord is very tight and does not wind and unwind without some extra pull to it. My 60 lb dog didn’t like using it at first bc I think she felt the pull from the stiff winding mechanism. Would not recommend for smaller dogs and would probably be best for dogs in a harness as it would always be pulling on their neck with a regular collar.

It is a very good product, but too heavy duty for my young puppy. My puppy is only about 9 pounds now and unable to pull the cord out. I’m keeping the product and will try again when my dog is older and stronger.

This item is amazing with the 360 degree pivot and retractable leash, but it is too much tension for a small dog. I have a now 10 pound, 8 month old, Shitzu puppy who is very strong, but it takes a lot of effort for her to be able to pull the leash, so she just sits next to the stake. I tried the medium one first, as the small was out of stock. It had too much tension, so I ordered the small, but there really is not much difference in the tension.
