The book has beautiful pictures with vibrant colors, lots of great information, and some sections with interactive questions. He understands a lot of the basic concepts, and is retaining a crazy amount of the details that go along with each topic. (Even mom and dad are learning a few new things.) There’s enough information that I feel he’ll stay interested in this book, and will continue asking questions and learning as he gets older. It’s still a favorite after a couple months, and one of the few books that he’ll sit with for more than 5 minutes (same holds true for the NG Big Book of Space). Additionally, I think the explanation for storms that we experience in our area, has helped to calm his active mind and ease his typical kiddo fears a little. Pretty cool feature for a kid’s book!
