Perfect as usual. Great for sketching.
Perfect as usual. No breakage and the color was exactly as I expected. Great buy for sketching. Just remember - these are colored pencils and do not erase completely like a regular graphite pencil would.

Best red pencil that no mechanical lead can beat
My FAVORITE red pencil for sketching. The red looks great on toned paper which is what I prefer to sketch on. It doesn't have that weird waxy sheen that mechanical red lead has. They feel so great to draw with, very similar to a #2 pencil (one of my preferred drawing utensils). They erase great. I do have a heavy hand, so sometimes not all of it erases perfectly, but that's definitely on me.

Artist MUST HAVE
This is a MUST for artists who want to feel like a pro. Iโm sure youโve seen the old animators from the 1930โs use red colored pencils to sketch and this is the way to replicate it. I use this color, the blue and the non-photo blue all the time and it has become my go-to for sketching. The pencil can be easily erased and this color is super easy to see. Overall I would totally recommend to get this pack just because if you sketch a lot, trust me you are going to need all of these pencils.

Heaven sent
I bought these for base sketching and correcting my kids homework. Pros -Come in a box that can easily be put in organized drawer -Lead doesn't break easily -eraser is pretty good. -Stays sharp for decently long time depending on angle of sketch and pressure used. -Doesn't role or wonder off thanks to shape -Last a LOONNNNGGG Time! -Beautiful Bold Color -Does well under water color and other mediums Cons -Does not fully erase unless used lightly -Tip dulls fast with intense pressure

Great for sketching
I use these to sketch. I love the look of the red, especially when I do a light wash of watercolor over. Erases better with my kneaded eraser or Pentel eraser, the eraser on the pencil is okay for light sketches but not great for erasing darker or thicker lines and it sheds a lot. Packaging was okay, they were packed in a thin cardboard box, that was opened during transport in the bigger Prime box. The pencils were not damaged. Each pencil has a barcode label on it, which is a pet peeve for me since they donโt come off nice and leave a whole lotta residue. You can leave them on, but thereโs always that little corner sticking up. Other than that, these are my go to and i love how my sketchbook looks after a page of sketches.

A hardy predictable red pencil, 20045
I am a genealogist who is employed as a reviewer/verifier of applications and their accompanying documentation submitted by applicants wishing to join those societies. In the course of these reviews, I note each Generation (by underlining the names and assigning a generation number) and make comments on each set of documents being reviewed. All the information and marks that I add to the documents are to be performed with an erasable red pencil. For this work, a red pencil is, for the most part, the only tool that I use. For many years I was able to find Prismacolor Col-Erase Carmine Red Pencils at most local office and school supply stores, so supply was never a problem. However, in the last year only Ticonderoga Checking(TM) pencils can be found locally. Believing that all red pencils were, basically, the same, I bought a dozen of the Ticonderoga brand red pencils. Big mistake! The "lead" or, the more correct term "core" of the Ticonderoga brand pencils is very fragile or soft causing the point to break off and to wear down quickly. Thinking that I had gotten a bad shipment I purchased other Ticonderoga brand pencils from different stores in different cities, with the same results. At the same time, I tried to find Prismacolor Col-Erase red pencils. I could only find them in a few art supply stores and those were wildly expensive and did not have erasers. Well, thank goodness for the Internet and Amazon (TM) and their suppliers as I was able to order the Prismacolor Col-Erase Carmine Red Pencils, by the dozen, and they are the same great pencil as what I have been using for years. So, if you are unhappy with your present checking pencil - definitely consider the Prismacolor Col-Erase Carmine Red Pencil (#20045).

Great pencil for animation and drawing.
I mostly use this pencil for gesturing, and I use the blue Col-Erase to finish my drawings. It is a very nice pencil that is good not only for animation, but for everyday drawing. It is just light enough that it doesn't impede the blue Col-erase for tie-downs (drawing your final lines), but is dark enough so you don't lose your gesture. The only possible drawback that I can think of is that since the led is so soft I find myself needing to sharpen it on a very regular basis. Almost every time I'm about to start a drawing I need to sharpen first. I do press fairly hard sometimes for a darker line, which is also a contributing factor to constantly needing to sharpen. As a result, I make sure to have 3 or 4 pencils on stand-by that are nice and sharp so I can those fine lines when I need them. Overall, the pencil is great, with a good price, and worth getting the 12 pack.

Perfect and Fast Shipping
I LOVE these. I've been waiting so long to try these pencils since so many of my favourite artists are using them and they do not disappoint! And the price isn't that bad for the amount of pencils they give. And not to mention that extremely fast delivery. Got them in blue and red, I think my favourite is red.
