Many business owners do not realize this, but if you are in business, then you are in sales!"The System" is an excellent book for anyone in sales (i.e. all business owners). I didn't just read it; I studied it. Eric Lofholm not only explains everything with clarity, but also shares many stories that drives his points home.Eric divides sales into three simple steps: 1) inner game; 2) outer game; and 3) taking action. Inner game is your mindset; outer game is your business systems; and taking action is mainly, well... taking action. For me, the two main benefits I received from this book were how to build your system and handling objections. You can literally build your sales system by reading this book inside out and then implementing the ideas. And you can learn how to handle any objection that comes your way, even before people bring them up. And for the rare objection that comes up that you haven't yet come across, Eric tells you how to handle that, too.For those of you who are afraid of sales, Eric takes his wisdom and experience and provides the tools to shift your mindset until you realize that sales is simply about service. You may want to learn and implement this book, not just read it for entertainment. If you are running any type of a service business, you are in sales, and I highly recommend this book for you. Thank you, Eric, for this fantastic, life changing experience of "The System."

Action Changes Things
I follow Tony Robbins so; when I discovered Eric Lofholm once worked for him, it was a no-brainer to read his book. Eric's book is practical and strategic. It is not just a salespersons book a life strategy book. The book uses lessons and exercises to move to motivate the reader. Lofholm shares one of his first encounters with Tony Robbins after he won a contest which took him to Fiji. What Robbins says to Eric provides him the opportunity to reevaluate his professional and personal life. Eric is the genuine deal and I look forward to reading more of his work. I highly recommend this book to anyone trying to better themselves in sales or life. "In order for you to make your dreams happen, your actions need to be consistent with your goals, so unless you take more action, you'll never make it." Pick me... Engage for YOU
Absolutely Priceless. I have given to Eric Lofholm over a few thousand dollars (USD) over the last 3+ years as an investment in myself. I have associated and taken advantage of Eric's services for over six (6) years. Yes, it took me three (3) years before I would pay him any money (that's me). My experience in having associated with Eric Lofholm is beyond what words could describe. To be in a possition and able to receive what is in this book is practically a privilege to take advantage of. And whether you purchase the paperback or the Kindle book, "it is a steal." So you're aware. I chose to pay Eric Lofholm to be a mentor of sort, not because I agreed with everything he says and does, but because of who he is being as a person -- a man who is honest, is action oriented with integrity and exemplifies what is possible for anyone when moved by compassion -- I use Eric Lofholm in part, as a backboard that I may reflect also upon myself and who I am being.

Teaching Sales
This book is outstanding. It’s easy to read, has a ton of great ideas and tools, especially for someone who is by no means a great sales person.I would recommend this book to anyone and already have. I just completed the first read thru and plan to follow Mr. Lofholm’s suggestion to read it several more times to really absorb the content and learn the tools. This book has a ton of notes...all positive.

Great outline but get ready to do homework.
As a branding professional for many years now, I've come to a conclusion that he states here on various occasions and that is that no matter what your business you're selling. I've worked with dozes of companies and at the end of the day, you need to sell. What I liked about this book is that it sets the stage for how to go about it. Confirming what other people have said here, there needs to be a more structured example that should be interwoven through the different chapters so you get a sense of how this all ties together. A good supplement to this is "Built To Sell" and "The E-Myth"to reinforce the concepts here. One last thing, the meat of the book is first 3/4 of the book and the rest becomes "filler" and a little repetitive.Overall, great concepts but get ready to do homework.

After reading, the title sounds like 'The Godfather'
If in the next five hours, you are asked to train someone in sales,Don't try to invent the subject, just call this book's author, get permission anduse the Three steps method described in this book to train. The best part would be thatwhom you trained would thank you throughout their life time.Use this book to- Review yourself- Read the best in the field- Evaluate the performers- Understand what worksUse in sales process- To reduce tension- For a better delegation- For conveying your process better- To have a hassle free staff empowerment- To get sales exponentiallyI would suggest this book to authors- To learn about research and preparation- To model table of content- To emulate The Presentation System- To use ICR- And much moreI recommend

Good for a total noobie.
If I could go back in time I would not have read this, The information is available on blogs for free but it has been organised well and is easy to read.

Well maybe I'm a stickler, but when I see spelling and grammatical errors (more than a few) scattered throughout any publication to me that't s not a good first impression. Then much of what I read and come to find out about this has been regurgitated from other authors mainly Tony Robbins and Eric's mentor Dr. Something. Also the not so subtle product placement messages becomes a little irritating. This might be ok for the most basic non-experience sales people, but for someone who knows anything about sales there are much better reads out there than this, I would not recommend this at all.
