THE LAST THING HE TOLD ME

A fabulous book to read
Owen Michael who has a beautiful teenage daughter 'Bailey' from his first marriage marries Hannah Hall. A little over an year after marriage he disappears into oblivion with a last two word note "Protect Her" to Hannah and which forms the focal point of the book "The Last Thing He Told Me".The suspense of the story goes through many a twists and turns & the curiosity never seems to be ending until the last page of the book. It's not just the suspense that holds but the feelings & emotions that comes out of the characters are very much intresting.A father's love for his daughter, a grandfather's love for his granddaughter and above all a mother's love for her daughter stands tall in the story (Hannah's love for Bailey)& it is this love & trust that Owen sees in Hannah & the same comes out through her with out even her knowing as how deep & far Owen has thought under the circumstantial events he anticipated & imagined.A book to read and reread for the suspense and for the Values it holds. A fabulous book to read and enjoy.Loved reading all through.

Story within a story!!
Loved it till the end... literally...the beginning was gr8...the suspense kept up till the second half..and then at the end it just became something else.. unexpected..so yea..unloved everything but the end...It's about a woman Hannah, whose life starts falling apart when her husband's employer is caught is a financial misreporting scandal and he goes missing .. she is left with her step daughter, Bailey, to pick up the pieces and search for her missing husband...At one point I couldn't stop reading...i just wanted to know what the end was..but once I reached the end...it felt too simple and anticlimactic...the plot somewhat shifts focus from being a suspense novel to a psychology lesson.."he knows what I mean..."..."I know where he's leading me..." It gets a bit boring...we know Hannah notices little details about people.. somewhat like Sherlock Holmes...but it's emphasized upon too many times..and it becomes repetitive..Well all in all it was good..but minus the end...it's a 3.8/5...I'm taking off points for the psychology lessons and the ending

Will there be part 2 of it?
It's a good read. I loved how the relationship between Hannah and Bailey develops for the better. The composer that character Hannah maintained throughout is amazing to learn from. There were no superfluous twists in the story, which I liked the most. The author kept it exciting emotionally but not with excessiveness. The central aspect was the development of relationship between a daughter and her stepmother. Saying it again, the character Hannah is amazing.

Above average
This book is an.above than average boom. Dragged bit longer, but this drama book is really good. Seema like watching a movie but not much huge suspense. However, I could end this book quickly, some it holds my engagement.

Nice Read
A good book with a very unique plot. But I truly feel it could have been a good 30-40 pages shorter. I found the book to repeating the same points repeatedly at many places and it just makes it feel lagging in pace, it could have been much more a crisp read and fast paced. Like until about 60% of the book, there was barely any progress in the story, and the last 30-40% had most of the movement & lot of things happening. But enjoyed it nevertheless, the ending note was a winner for me.

Fake book ... Good story (Requesting Amazon to atleast check with the seller)
The story is going very good ...But the book is completely fake, there are pages which are empty, without any print.Amazon is charging ₹649 for God knows what!Still I wasn't getting this book anywhere hence had to make do with the fake book..

Intriguing, brilliant, and fantastic read!
I don't want to go into the workings of this novel which is complicated, but then again, people are complicated...their lives, past and present, intricately woven with secrets and half-truths...but all I can say is that Laura Dave is amazing...and brilliant in this novel.(how she does it, I am not sure...but every word, idea, concept is born of special talent..)

La lección del libro “we always have a choice”. Muy recomendable
