The pillows arrive vacuum packed. I only mention this because the box they come in (I bought 2 for each side of the bed) is so small I thought I messed up and only ordered one lol. I let the pillows sit out flat for about 48hrs. and they were thick and firm by the time I placed them on the bed.After reading some of the reviews here, I think the big issue people have is that they didn't order the right pillow for their frame or what is consistent with what they are used to. So far, I love this pillow. I got the extra thick version even though I am not over 6ft. I just know I like a nice firm pillow, and I am used to sleeping with at least two pillows under my head to give me the desired/needed height. It's very supportive and keeps it's shape while I sleep. I think it's size is wonderful. I toss and turn sometimes, so it is nice to have a pillow that is consistent in thickness throughout. Unlike most "side-sleeper" pillows that are thick in the middle and taper out towards the sides. I don't have to worry about hitting that sweet spot of support if I should move or worry about my head rolling down one of the tapered ends while I sleep. Although, so far I don't seem to be /haven't been moving in my sleep. I'm not sure if that is a coincidence or pillow related. I would certainly recommend for any true side sleeper.

Very comfortable hard to get used to at first but 2 weeks in and my neck feels great everythime I wake up

I was very skeptical about purchasing yet another pillow, claiming to helps ease neck pain. I am so glad I decided to give the pillow cube a try. I always wake up with a neck pain that gives me a headache throughout the day. The first night, took a little bit of adjusting too. However, I woke up with little to no neck pain. It takes a few days to get used to the support on your neck. If you are wondering if this pillow could help you, you should definitely give it a try!!
